Our next Philadelphia FileMaker Developer Group meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday evening, February 28th, 2012 at 6:00 PM. The meeting will be held at the IT Solutions Fort Washington Office.

Scott Zeigen – WindowUtility™ Plugin
This month’s meeting will showcase WindowUtility™, a FileMaker plugin developed by Scott Zeigen and Tom Jenkins of MedDB LLC (formerly Medical Databases).
The demonstration will mostly be on the PC platform where WindowUtililty’s functionality gives the developer almost complete control of both the FileMaker Application window and FileMaker database windows. If you dislike the annoying window flashing and abrupt size changes on PC, WindowUtility™ helps you eliminate this is your FileMaker solutions. The plug-in can hide, size, move, lock window size, remove widgets, remove the title bar (PC), and even minimize the FileMaker PC application window to a task bar “ballon”, just to mention a few of its 50 functions.
At the end of the demonstration, there will be a raffle for a developer’s version of WindowUtility™ for either the PC or Mac platform! MedDB’s other commercial plugins include SetPrinter™ (cross platform printer selector), CalculatorFM (crossplatform calculator), CalendarFM (cross platform single & dual calendar dialogs)m TimeOut™ (cross platform screen locking plugin) and Mac-WinDialog (cross platform customize-able dialog boxes). All these plugins are in use throughout MedDBs commercial FileMaker solutions.
About the Philadelphia FileMaker User Group
The Philadelphia FileMaker User Group was founded in 2004 as an initiative by FileMaker Business Alliance Platinum member IT Solutions Consulting. The group’s goal is to provide an open forum for FileMaker developers and those interested in FileMaker to meet, brainstorm and network.
We hold meetings the 4th Tuesday of every month at 6PM, in the office of IT Solutions Consulting, Inc., at 414 Commerce Drive, Suite 150, Fort Washington PA.
Meetings are open to all, regardless of background and there’s no charge to attend.
