This has already been asked, but the suggested solution (use Admin and the password) has not been successful. The Situation:
.fp5 db needs to be upgraded to .fp7. fp5 has no 'account name' field, and fp7 dbs require one. I have tried the following 'Account Name/Password' combinations:
<blank>/(password)
Admin/(password)
(password)/(password)
(password)/<blank>
admin/(password)
<a series of locally used administrator userids>/(password)

All to no avail. The various iterations of the Account Name and Password were based on possible interpretations of suggestions posted on help forums and sites I've been searching.

Any assistance is appreciated, because to rebuild these databases would be........nightmarish.

Thanks all.
V

The converted files get have the account name the same as the password (eg,user/user).

One of the things I do in the fp5 files before conversion is go through and check that the passwords are known and correct: IIRC passwords are not case sensitive in fp5 but are in fp7.

Have you ready the migration white paper? There are clean-ups that can be done before conversion that make the process so much better.

Oh, nm, think I found it. Duh. FM9 upgrading from FM6 or earlier versions. Thanks much, Vaughan.
Peace,
C
