Working on my 1st FMP database. I'll be coming back here often to ask questions, all related to the same DB, so I figured I'd describe the DB here for reference.

It's a system to track safety clearances, lockouts and tagouts in an industrial plant.
-lockout: a device that physically prevents operation of equipment by restricting motion of a valve or breaker.
-tagout: the administrative portion of hanging a tag describing the lockout and recording the reason and persons involed
-safety clearance: the overall record of all tagouts/lockouts accosted with a given job

We regularly lockout/tagout equipment to perform maintenance. A pump could have a breaker to isolate the electrical power and an inlet and outlet valve to isolate the fluid flow/pressure. The safety clearance is a form that we use to fill out all isolation points that need to be secured to make the maintenance safe to perform.

[Equipment] Name, Description, Notes
[Personnel] Last, First, Department, Supervisor, Phone

Then, a table to joint all required isolation points to secure a given piece of equipment. Both fields are dropdowns using values from another table.

[Equip_IsoPnts]  :[Equipment]Name, :[Isolation Point]Component

All this info is used to create a new record of each job performed in a safety clearance table.

    -then, I need to find some way to make the act of choosing the :[Equipment]Name to populate a list of all isolation points related to the Name by the Equip_IsoPnts table.
