  1. Hiya, I am trying to upload an image using Smartpill and cURL to my webservice. The following code works well to grab an image from a URL and then upload it to my webservice. My problem however is how to get the image from a container field instead of a URL. I think it is only grabbing the name of the image, not the actual file itself? I am using Windows. Can anyone help? $url = 'http://sprott.physics.wisc.edu/fractals/carlson/PGPHX82.GIF'; $datain = file_get_contents($url); $ctype= "image/gif"; $ch = curl_init(); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, "https://garytest.nordic-e.com/__API__/picture/8/data"); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HTTPAUTH, CURLAUTH_ANY); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_USERPWD,"testuser:testpass"); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER, FALSE); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST, FALSE); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_CUSTOMREQUEST, 'PUT'); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER, array("Content-Type" => $ctype)); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $datain); $data = curl_exec($ch); print curl_error($ch); echo $data; curl_close($ch);
  2. Hi David! It worked! I set it up as a text field and a variable and it done the business. One other question. This is http POST can we deal with http PUT as well?
  3. Hi, I am trying to send some XML via http post to my test server using 360works Web Assistant. I have altered example layout number 4 in the example database to read... WASetRawPostData('<?xml version ="1.0" encoding ="ISO -8859 -1"? > 25000 CreditLimit > 0 CreditUsed > ') WAGetURL("https://garytest.nordic-e.com/__API__/customer/1" ; "username=testuser" ; "password=testpass") where WASetRawPostData is the data I want to post. It logs in fine, but when I try and post the data it comes back with a "An Evaluation Error Occurred: 102" Anyone can see where I'm going wrong here?
  4. No ideas? Does this plugin handle Basic Authentication? if anybody wants to give it a go, the address is https://garytest.nordic-e.com/__API__/customer and the username is "testuser" and password is "testpass". Help! :
  5. Hi, I really like the look of the Post XML Data script. However, I am having a little trouble with authentications. The URL that I pass comes back with a 401 (Unauthorized) response. How do we deal with authentication in this script? Does this script support HTTP Basic Auth? The URL I should use looks like this: https://testuser:testpass@garytest.nordic-e.com/__API__/customer Where Username is testuser and Password is testpass. it works in a browser but not in this Filemaker Post XML Data script. Any ideas? Thanks, Gary
  6. @jonathanstark Just wanted to say thanks for the tip about accessing unformated data through PHP. That was great and really helped me.
  7. Hi, I'm new to the plugin, can anyone tell me if it performs well with SMTP reverse lookups? I take it that the Filemaker server or client functions as the SMTP server in this case and does the actual mailing. If the recipient does a reverse lookup, I would imagine it would see that it doesn't match. Anybody any experience of this and of how we can get around it (I'm thinking MX records here...) Thanks, Gary
  8. This might be of use to those of us who are managing websites with our Filemaker database. I have a database with about 1000 records in it, each one a unique keyword in my niche. I have another database which represents my webpages with one record being one page. Each page has the fields "Content" and "Meta Keywords". Could anyone point me in the right direction to compare the "Content" field against the keyword database and each time a keyword is found in "Content", it gets added to the "Meta Keywords" field (separated by a comma). Just a point in the general correct direction would be appreciated! :(
  9. Hi, This is a bit of a strange one. I have been using Filemaker (10, client) to create PDF factsheets that I want to then upload to a document sharing site called "scribd". Scribd converts the PDF's into some proprietary format called i-paper and makes them public. If I make the PDF from Word using a PDF printer such as PDF995, all is well and scribd can convert the PDF to ipaper. If I create it using Filemaker's "Save As PDF" command, then it looks fine but scribd can't convert it and it ends up with the graphics, but no text. I have played around with Filemakers PDF settings such as the initial page display, but no luck. It looks to me to be the PDF printer driver that comes with Filemaker which is responsible. Is there any way to get it to use another such as PDF995? Cheers, Gary
  10. Thanks for the fix. It's still present in FM10 server, which is quite annoying.
  11. Hello, Today I upgraded from FM server 9 to FM server 10. I was excited about the new SMTP feature of the server which would allow me to send emails direct from the server. I was under the impression that FMS10 actually came with it's own SMTP server built in, but now I'm not so sure. It appears that I need to use another third party SMTP server (gmail for example). Is this true? Could anyone explain what this SMTP feature of the server actually is and what it's useful for (if anything)?
