  1. Hello there, Is there a way to download the mirrorsync link directly on an iPad? In my final workflow I'll send the link with the newest version and users will open it directly from the ipad. Is there any integration with even other 3rd parties software to download the file on the ipad and then run it from Filemaker? Thanks.

    Being unsatisfied with solutions I found on the internet and wanting a solution without plugin I created a set of custom functions that can read a path out of a json-string. Syntax: json_path ( json-string ; path ) examples: json_path( $user_prefs ; "Privileges/Modules" ) json_path( $json_data ; "Menus/Menu[10]/MenuItem[5]/Label" )

  3. I have a solution that uses WebDirect to publish a list of files stored in a container. Is there a way using a url to direct download a file stored in a container?
  4. This is a curiosity question, not really any problem. I have several FM13 tables that I'm sending to my iPad via email. Several of them begin to immediately download when I open the email. Others I have to 'tap' the attachement in the email to initiate the download process. Is there some aspect within the FM table that affects this behavior. Again, not a problem, but if I can determine how to get all my tables to 'auto' download that would be best.
  5. Hi all, Here's another little tutorial I figured I'd share. The last one I posted on this part of the forum was how to upload the contents of a container field to an FTP server, using AppleScript to use the cURL command-line tool. This is similar to that, in that it uses AppleScript to invoke cURL, but this script allows you to use cuRL similarly to wget, to specify an URL and a destination path and have filemaker download that file to that path. To use this function specify your URL and Download Path (ex: "/Users/yourusername/Desktop/filename.zip") separated by ¶ in the script parameter. This will only work on Macs. It should work at the very least under MacOS 10.6-10.8 since I have confirmed that cURL comes packaged with the OS under those versions. -------------------------------------- curlDownload[$url, $unixpath] -------------------------------------- Set Variable [$url; Value:GetValue(Get(ScriptParameter) ; 1)] Set Variable [$url; Value:Substitute ( $url; "&" ; "" & "&" )] Set Variable [$url; Value:""" & Substitute ( $url; "&" ; "" & "&" ) & """] Set Variable [$unixpath; Value:GetValue(Get(ScriptParameter) ; 2)] Set Variable [$script; Value: "set curlscript to "curl "& $url & " > " & $unixpath & """ & "¶" & "set curlresult to do shell script curlscript"] Perform AppleScript [$script]
  6. Is there any way to create an Excel download for an IWP connected user? I've thought about have a script that creates a flag and have a client on the server that run periodically and looks for the flag and emails the Excel file to the user. The problem is that the file needs to "Replace" the old file and that doesn't seem to function properly. I get an error message.
  7. Same comments as the upload basically. There's some FTP code posted but here's a basic SFTP version. Feel free to correct me or add to it and post. Some elements actually might not be needed or could be better written. I'm not a programmer per se so be nice..... /********************************************************************************************************** * SFTP Download * parameters sftp_hostname, sftp_username, sftp_password, sftp_port (should be 22 I believe) * remote_directorypath, remote_filename, local_directorypath, local_filename * * JSch is licensed under BSD style license. * http://www.jcraft.com/jsch * http://www.jcraft.com/jsch/examples/ * http://epaul.github.com/jsch-documentation/javadoc/ * * Jar file: http://sourceforge.net/projects/jsch/files/jsch.jar/0.1.44/jsch-0.1.44.jar/download * * Disclaimer: This code is provided as is without any guarantees, warranties or representations. * User is responsible to verify all legalities * Finally - This is just a base. 8. To summarise the problem, we have deployed part of our solution in IWP using HTTPS and have a problem downloading any file from a container field using Internet Explorer versions 7 & 8 (the other common browsers are fine). When clicking into a container, the file download appears to start and then you get an error stating that "data.file" cannot be found. I've been searching around the Internet looking for a solution to this problem - I've found a couple of threads, but found nothing useful. (you may find my posts at the bottom, before I decided to try and amalgamate the threads here). http://fmforums.com/forum/topic/56723-iwp-pdf-downloads-over-https-fail-in-ie7/ http://fmforums.com/forum/topic/67123-internet-explorer-could-not-download-pdf-in-container-field/ http://forums.filemaker.com/posts/d6404f1366 (between myself and FileMaker support). Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated, if I can find or hear a solution, I will post the answer (or a link) in this thread.
