  1. I read that the new 3.01 version does not require Java. When I run FMPAv16 on my Mac (10.11.6) and use the sample Email database it works just fine and I see nothing related to Java. I had the older v2.12 plugin installed on here and have just updated to v3.01 today. When I run FMPAv16 on a different Mac (10.11.6) and install the v3.01 plugin (never had the plugin installed on this machine before today) and run the sample database a Java App runs without any windows, Just visible in the lower right dock and its single menu is titled "Java" Any ideas as to this oddity? 2. I have several customers that are still running Wondows Version 9, which is a version out of date. On attempting to load a 64 bit, ScriptMaster generated Plug-In, I am seeing a dialog that ScriptMaster can't run without Java 64 bit. On installing Java, there is no change and the same issue persists. This goes as far as literally crashing FileMaker. Has anyone experienced this? Although it's really a Java issue, and the OS is out of date, I have two important customers running Windows 9.
  3. Hi all, I recently upgraded my Filemaker Server 13 to Filemaker Server 14. To get the new version to install, I had to downgrade my Java8 from u113 to u67 (separately installing the old Java version, not allowing the FMS installer to install Java itself). I also had to fiddle around to make sure it was running the httpd which comes with FMS and not the one bundled with Mac OS X El Capitan. My question is, am I now save to upgrade Java back to the latest version. I'm not anticipating needing to install FMS14 anytime soon, but does the "Deployment" part of FMS use Java, and if so, is it similar fussy about which version?
  4. When launching FMPA 14 with Scribe 2.15 installed (also occurred with 2.091) I get the error: However it is installed. Java 8 had been been previously installed as well but has been removed from the system. The error persists. FileMaker Pro Advanced 14.04 (32-bit) Scribe 2.15 Mac OS X 10.11.2 java version "1.6.0_65" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_65-b14-468-11M4833) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.65-b04-468, mixed mode) We also tried two clean installs of FileMaker on new machines and are unable to replicate the error. I even installed Java 8 and the error did not occur.
  5. Hi, I am very new to using ScriptMaster and have run into some problems when trying to run a few test lines of java. I am trying to create a module that will modify AcroFields on a PDF document, and am therefore going to be using the iText library. I have added this in the Jar Libraries section. Here is the script I am trying to run: import com.itextpdf.kernel.pdf.PdfDocument; import com.itextpdf.kernel.pdf.PdfWriter; import com.itextpdf.kernel.pdf.PdfReader; import com.itextpdf.forms.PdfAcroForm; //Initialize PDF document PdfDocument pdf = new PdfDocument(new PdfReader("C:/Users/Andy/Desktop/VA_Form.pdf"), new PdfWriter("C:/Users/Andy/Desktop/New_VA_Form.pdf")); PdfAcroForm form = PdfAcroForm.getAcroForm(pdf, true); and I am getting this error when attempting to run the script: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/itextpdf/layout/element/BlockElement Parameters: {data="my custom data"} ---Script--- Script: import com.itextpdf.kernel.pdf.PdfDocument; import com.itextpdf.kernel.pdf.PdfWriter; import com.itextpdf.kernel.pdf.PdfReader; import com.itextpdf.forms.PdfAcroForm; //Initialize PDF document PdfDocument pdf = new PdfDocument(new PdfReader("C:/Users/Andy/Desktop/VA_Form.pdf"), new PdfWriter("C:/Users/Andy/Desktop/New_VA_Form.pdf")); PdfAcroForm form = PdfAcroForm.getAcroForm(pdf, true); return "true!"; I am not sure how the classpath works in ScriptMaster, but assumed it was to do with this? I have four additional libraries (Itext7-Forms-7.0.0.Jar, Itext7-Io-7.0.0.Jar, Itext7-Kernel-7.0.0.Jar, Itext7-Pdfa-7.0.0.Jar). Any help is much appreciated, I am really stuck and can't seem to find any help in previous posts. Thanks
  6. Once again, but now with more urgency, please can you indicate a timeframe for updating ScriptMaster to be able to use later versions of Java on the Mac. There is a completely brand new version of iText (in readiness for PDF 2.0) which has a whole new set of libraries, the code I use needs rewriting in some places, but more importantly is giving MajorMinor version errors as soon as I write my first line of code. I already have several functions I can not move but this is somewhat of a killer for me, given that is it my specialist subject... This has been rumbling on for too long without any clear help from 360Works. john
  7. I am running Windows 10, FMP Advanced 14 with the 360Works Email plugin version 2.14 64-bit installed and registered (I have a license). I am able to connect, successfully build a message, but it won't send. I get this error most of the time (from EmailLastError): "java.lang.NullPointerException" and on a few occasions I got a simple "EOF". I made sure that I am using a valid Port and that I have appended it to the SMTP server name with a colon. I checked and I have the most up to date version of Java running. I'm totally stumped. I used this plug-in with good results in my FMP Adv 13 solutions. Anyone?
Olivier Aubert _____________ (google trad) FM Server 13 and Plugin incompatible Email I try for one week to run the plugin Email with FM Server 13 (OSX Mavericks plugin 2.03). The plugin requires Java 1.6. I first installed FM Pro (not server) for testing, installing Java 1.6 is automatic. The plugin works. But the installation (and starting) of FM Server is only possible if we install Java 1.7. This replaces version 1.6 and the plugin no longer works. Do you have a solution, thank you ... 9. I have a client with several iPads in the field. One today failed to sync, though the others have been syncing fine. I had him close the FileMaker file, quit Go and all other apps, and restart his iPad before syncing again. Same error. I restarted the WPE and the Tomcat server. Same error. Had him restart again while I restarted WPE and Tomcat. Same error. Others had since synced fine. Below is the error we are getting. I redacted the domain and client's IP address. I told him to click "Report Bug" so you should have that.
  10. Hi I have been trying to deploy 360works enterprise version onto a filemaker server. It is filemaker server 9 advanced running on leopard server (10.5) The plug-in will not run properly because the mac server doesn't have a 32 bit version of java. It now appears that this is no longer available for this version of the operating system Does anyone know whether it is possible to get an older 32 bit version of java that will run on OSX 10.5 There isn't any chance of being able to update the op system in the near future. Many thanks for reading
  11. Has anyone had success using the zxing library to read/decode bar codes with ScriptMaster ? I generate them just fine using the Barcode4J library. I think I am having dependency issues (take a pill...) and not much forward momentum getting it to work. Examples, suggestions or commiseration are greatly accepted. regards... Bob Minteer
  12. I recently installed Mavericks in our computers and since then we cannot open Filemaker if we have installed 360works plugins due to a java error. It seems that the system does not recognize we have Java installed. This is what java- version says about the system: ebpMac27:~ ebadia$ java -version java version "1.6.0_65" Java SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_65-b14-462-11M4609 Java HotSpot 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.65-b04-462, mixed mode) The error we got on opening Filemaker is: Error starting Java 360Works plugins require Java 1.5 or later, which is not installed on this computer. Download it from http://www.java.com (error 1) Any Idea why this is happening? Thanks!
  13. Hello, I made a set of classes in Java, version 1.8. When I try to register a function the following message appears: "You cannot register this function, because it will not compile: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: br/com/himaker/cte/webservice/WebService : Unsupported major.minor version 52.0" Note: this error occurs only on Mac OS X. On Windows works fine. ScriptMaster version: 4.206 Logs in attached. Tanks Josimar 360Plugins_FMAdvanced.log.zip
  14. (Apologies if this is made clear somewhere else, I can not seem to find an answer here or anywhere) Thank you for looking at this and for any feedback. I am not sure if my issue is a bug or a feature... I have just created my first plugin. It requires 2 jar files which are not included with SM. It seems the function will not work unless I have the 2 jar files in a directory where java expects to find jar files (by default, or some other location which has been added to the path file). This is not an issue on my development machine, but my intention is to make this portable. So the question at hand is this: Does ScriptMaster, and/or plugins generated with SMA, completely handle the loading of jars? or do I need to have the jars located in a folder where java expects to find them? I have: Added the jars to SM using the 'add' button on the Jar Libraries layout, in the ScriptMaster File Associated the jars to the script via the checkboxes in the 'Jars' tab of the Edit Script Layout Verified the Jars are loaded using SMGetLoadedJars Successfully tested the function with the 'Run Script' Button on the Edit Script Layout Registered the Function (and set it to register on startup) Successfully tested the function in the FM solution I intend to use it with Everything works until I remove the jars from /Library/Java/Extensions (on osx). Then, after restarting FM, my function returns an error indicating it can not find the class it needs (which is to say, it cant find the jar). I have tested this thoroughly. Is this the way it is supposed to work? Please let me know if I can provide more info to help troubleshoot this. My sincerest thanks to anyone who can point me in the right direction, -Jim java version "1.6.0_65" Java SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_65-b14-462-11M4609) Java HotSpot 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.65-b04-462, mixed mode)
  15. I am getting complaints and errors that are matching what I am seeing here for Windows 8 running IE10 and Opera12.  (I got this screenshot from the Microsoft browser test page, but it looks the same as one a client sent.)  The page is loading fine in FireFox and Chrome on both windows and Mac -- Is there something I can do?  Known issue?  -- Don  site: http://mobayen.macusa.net/mobayen-results.php  Â
  16. Greetings all, I have a brand new server install as follows... Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter, SP1, 64 Bit Filemaker Server 13.0.1, 64 bit install (32 bit unavailable under 64 bit OS, as I understand it) FTPeek with Enterprise license Java (as 32 and 64 bit installs) The FTPeek plugin is reported to require Java 1.5 or greater, 32 bit. Installing Java 32 bit, cripples the FMS Admin console, both on the server itself, and thru remote access, both of which worked under 64 bit Java. Reverting back to 64 bit Java fixes the admin console access, but won't allow the plugin to load. It seems the plugin is severely limited in it's usefullness, unless there's something more to this that I'm not seeing. Any insight is appreciuated. Mark
  17. Hi there, I've just got notification of FM13 release, and I've been planning to implement the Plastic 2 plugin, as we already use MerchantWarrior for our processing (in fact it was me who suggested they contact 360works). I'm very wary of OS X server 10.8 & 10.9 Java issues, as I've dealt with them with no good outcome for a different app. I notice the release notes for FM 13 say: 1.6. The FileMaker Server 13 installer installs Java Runtime Environment 7 (JRE 7) update 25. On OS X, if you have a later update of JRE 7 installed, then JRE 7 update 25 is not installed. On Windows, if you have a later update of JRE 7 installed, JRE 7 update 25 is still installed, but FileMaker Server 13 uses the later update. FileMaker recommends that you install JRE 7 update 45 after installing FileMaker Server 13. Can anyone tell me enlighten me what that will mean for Plastic 2 (or any other 360works plugin), assuming I have an existing basic 10.8.5 server, upgrading from FM 12 - it has very little else installed on it.
  18. I have a client on a Mac which is throwing up an error: Â java. lang.illegalArgumentException as per the attached. Â He was running on 10.6 with an old Java version and we updated the machine thinking this might be the issue. So the machine now has all the latest Java, Mac OS updates and the latest SuperContainer plugin. Â The issue arrises when uploading a file and the plugin calls the SCSetContainer function. Â The script is setting the base URL at the start of the script. Â Any help appreciated.

When I try to active the plug-ins, my Filemaker crash. When I open the sample file, I get the info the plugins in not install, I click ok to install and my FM crash. What do I need to do? We working on FM12.0.4 on windows 7 / 2008 and 2003
  20. We are in the process of testing DocuBin access via Citrix XenApp 6. I'm running into a couple of issues and hoped someone might have some experience or insight, or perhaps just some tips on using DocuBin via Citrix. I have DocuBin set up as a published app and am accessing it via Citrix Online Plugin on a Mac running OS X 10.7. Also tested on a Mac running OS X 10.5.8. Issue 1. When exporting a selection from DocuBin, I get the following error "java.lang.NullPointerException [superContainer]" when I try to save the selection to the root level of drive U:/, which is mapped to my local desktop. I do NOT get the error when I save to another folder on my desktop, e.g., U:/files/ . I would like users to be able to save directly to drive U:/ -- their local desktop directory -- without having to create a new folder to save documents to. Issue 2. When I try to upload a large file, the Citrix Online Plugin is quitting unexpectedly and when I log back in to the Citrix published app, it shows an error "insufficient data written [superContainer]. Perhaps the quitting unexpectedly is unrelated to the error -- i.e., the error is caused because the file transfer was interrupted because of the Citrix Online Plugin unexpectedly quitting. Any help would be appreciated.
  21. This is in reference to the Soap Client (http://www.360works.com/soap-client/) which 360Works provides for testing. (Thank you, btw.) When I enter in the WSDL URL and click Retrieve, I get this message: java.lang.RuntimeException: Could not find the java compiler at /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home/bin/javac.exe. You only have the JRE (Java Runtime Environment) installed Unexpected error As an example, let's use this WSDL: http://www.webservicex.net/stockquote.asmx?WSDL I am trying this on a mac (10.7.5). I have java 1.7.0_25 installed here: /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home/bin/ Per the instructions, the lib directory and SOAPClient.jar file are in the same directory. Any ideas?
  22. Hello,  I have a similar problem like this one: http://fmforums.com/forum/topic/88460-blank-sc-fields/  - FM database running on FM 11 Server Advanced - Supercontainer 2.864 - Customer using Win7 64-bit Home with a Fm11 client  After some refreshing or flipping through layouts the webviewer field start to become white and then black. Other customers on different platform (OSX, Win7 Pro) don't experience this. After closing and re-opening the database on the client the images show up again, only to disappear shortly after.  It seems this also is the java caching problem...  Screenshot is attached.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Regard, S. Steinfeld
  23. Hi all, Got myself in trouble yesterday. Hope there is a solution. I know I have obsolete material but it works for my needs. Hardware/software : xp pro sp3 up to date as of 2013/05/05 fms9.0.3 jre6u7 firefox 20.0.1 Situation : For the past few months I had no access (on my fms box) to fmadmin as I had inadvertedly updated my jre to an update that made my fmadmin to crash whenever I tried to select a specific hosted database. So yesterday, I tried removing that jre to replace it with jre6u7 which I know is the last one to work with fms9. As it didn't want to get deleted, after googling, I decided to use microsoft's fixit and I removed it but I also removed all that was java thinking that by installing jre6u7 i would be set to go. Big mistake!!! Even though jre6u7 is correctly installed, when I launch fms 9 start page, it tells me I should have java 5 +. I looked at my Firefox plug ins and grayed out is my jre6u39. If I try to find a jre6u7 plug in with Firefox's plugin wizard, nothing shows up. What do you experts recommend I do other than upgrading to fms12? If you need any more info, please let me know. Thanks in advance for any help, Cheers
