The FileMaker, Inc. DevCon Management Team released some information yesterday about format changes and other innovations for the upcoming 2016 DevCon in Las Vegas, Nevada, from July 18^th to 21^st at the Cosmopolitan Hotel.  This is really good information, and the changes reflect a close attention to developer needs. For those of you who might have missed that information, here are some highlights. 

 

·      Keynote Address:
DevCon 2016 officially kicks off Monday evening with the keynote address.

·      Closing Ceremonies:
Join us as we recognize FileMaker Business Alliance award winners at the Closing Session on Thursday afternoon.

·      The Big Event: 
The excitement continues Wednesday night when we travel off site for an evening at the ballpark. If you’ve ever dreamed of playing in a big league ballpark, tonight’s the night. You can enjoy dinner, play games, and see great entertainment on replicas of famous American ballparks such as Boston’s Fenway Park, New York’s Yankee Stadium, and Chicago’s Wrigley Field.

·      Exhibit Hall: 
Take care of your craving for food and learning in one convenient location. While enjoying breakfast, breaks, or lunch, you can also meet with FileMaker Business Alliance members inside the Exhibit Hall at the same time.

·      SESSIONS

Session Rooms:
How do you get 1,500 attendees into the session of their choice? Make sure the rooms are big enough to accommodate everybody! This year, the session rooms are of equal size, holding 500-600 attendees each. That way, everyone can attend sessions in comfort. In addition, we’ll make sure you have a good view. We’re designing the rooms so all attendees can see the screen without straining their necks or eyes. All seats will face the screen, and the projectors will be in HD.

·      Relaxation: 
There’s plenty to learn at DevCon, but it’s also a great place to hang out. We’ll have a dedicated place to grab a drink and meet with fellow FileMaker developers. Feel free to visit the various bars within The Cosmopolitan, but this space is just for us!



·      Backpacks:
Yes, the backpack is back! When you come to pick up your registration materials, you’ll also receive a FileMaker backpack to commemorate your experience — and to keep your stuff with you during the conference.
