We are having an issue with the ipad occasionally getting a 'host not found'.
The 'external data sources' have the proper IP address of the host computer, but even with the ipad right next to it, the 'host not found' message occurs.
Is there a way to make a hard connection between the ipad and the host for filemaker-sharing?
I updated my solution to FileMaker Pro 16 and FileMaker Go 16 and after that the script step Insert from Device (Type:Camera). Now FileMaker Go comes with the screeen "Files on iPad" and "No files available". When I press cancel the script continues and opens the camera. This does not happen in FileMaker 13 and 14.
Other thing that I noticed is that the Go To Portal Row > By calculation does not work as it does in FileMaker 13-14. Frustrating.
The second problem is solved. I inserted "Refresh Window" before the script step "Go To Portal Row" and that did the trick.

Has anyone else found that you are unable to export .fmp12 records from FM 16? I use this step in many scripts and the first machine I upgraded ( out of 48 ) I get the "unable to save file" error every time. FM 15 works, FM 16 fails on the same DB, same table, same record set. I can't even export manually.
I made a screen movie here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOGcm4bt86o
Hi I can not fiddle out how to make it work. I have tried several browsers with same result. We are using FM 12 server. I tried this file paths
and few others
I'm using this code in the Web Viewer which is working fine in FM client but not in browser
"data:text/html, <html> <head> <style type=text/css> " & table::style & " </style> </head> <body> <div class='thumb'> <span class='helper'></span><img class='thumb' src='" & table::ThumbnailPath & "'> </div> </body> </html>"
If it's caused by fact image is not present in web site folder as stated in document then my question is if it possible use unc network path in filename like file://///other_than_fmserver/networkpath/file.jpg. I wasn't successful either.
Any help appreciated
So here's the tech involved:
Microsoft SQL 2014 FileMaker Server 14 FileMaker Pro 15 IIS/PHP The project involves submitting information via web form into the SQL database and then viewing it in a FileMaker portal connected to the database via ODBC. I've done this before, no big deal... except one feature that was thrown at me.
Ability to submit images through the web portal and view them through FileMaker I've done image submittal via PHP before, but viewing them in FileMaker is a new one. I've seen some stuff on converting the images to BASE64 then converting them back in a FileMaker container field, but the information was several years old and I'm checking to see if there was any more modern way to handle it; and if it still needs to be done that way, I need some clarification on how to accomplish this.
