  1. You could use the Photo Gallery Add-on that was just released in FM19.1.2.219.

  2. Thank you for the advice. I was able to get this to work now. It required me to change the format of my excel file that I was inputing the data from and create an "Inspection item" and assign an ID to each inspection item as well as tie it to each part number via a "part number ID". Once I changed how the data was input from my original excel file this worked like a charm. Thank you again

  3. First, sort by the Item field (or whatever the field you want to group by is called). Then, in the 'Specify Field Order for Export', dialog, check the Group by [Item] option and add the Item field and the summary field to the field export order. At this point, the dialog will display: Now select the summary field only (leaving the 'sCount by Item' pseudo-field in place) and remove it from the field export order.

  4. Careful now - that statement is too generic; SSO only works under very strict conditions, namely only in a all-Windows line-up. If the users are on macOS workstations for instance SSO won't work. If the users do not log into their Windows workstations with an AD account then SSO won't work either. The question here was not about how to set up EA, but about not being able to use the "DisplayName" on an AD account. Whereas for instance on macOS with Open Directory you can use both the user's long name and the short name, which is what prompted the question.

  5. First we need to state the obvious: Filemaker is not a page layout program. You will have to lower your expectations. The way I would approach this is define a repeating calculation field (result is Text) along the lines of: If ( Extend ( SelectedRepetition ) = Get ( CalculationRepetitionNumber ) ; TextSize ( TextFont ( TextColor ( Extend ( RequestedText ) ; RequestedTextColor ) ; RequestedTextFont ) RequestedTextSize ) ) This will place the text in the RequestedText field, formatted as defined in the RequestedTextColor, RequestedTextFont and RequestedTextSize fields, into the rep

  6. I believe your best option is to schedule a repeating event using the Calendar application and have it open a file. The file itself would be a simple FMP file that runs a start-up script that calls the report script in your "real" file, then closes itself. The other option is to install an OnTimer script - but I found that to be very inaccurate and I wouldn't use it for such a long interval. And of course it wouldn't work if the file weren't already open.

  8. Here is a rather simple way to do it: First, find the duplicates by performing a find for ! in the Name field. Then sort them by Name. Then do: Go to Record/Request/Page [ First ] Loop If [ $name ≠ YourTable::Name ] Set Variable [ $name; Value:YourTable::Name ] Set Variable [ $i; Value:1 ] Else Set Variable [ $i; Value:$i + 1 ] End If If [ $i ≤ 6 ] Set Field [ YourTable::Flag; $i ] End If Go to Record/Request/Page [ Next; Exit after last ] End Loop Now, there is a way to make this faster by jumping from the 6th record directly to the firs

  9. Well, then you could write it all in a single calculation field = // Criteria 1 Renewal1 ≥ Get (CurrentDate) and Renewal2 ≥ Get (CurrentDate) and Renewal3 ≥ Get (CurrentDate) and // Criteria 2 ( Renewal4 ≥ Get (CurrentDate) or Renewal5 ≥ Get (CurrentDate) ) and // Criteria 3 ( Renewal6 ≥ Get (CurrentDate) or Renewal7 ≥ Get (CurrentDate) ) If you like, you could make it a bit more readable: Let ( [ today = Get (CurrentDate) ; criteria1 = Renewal1 ≥ today and Renewal2 ≥ today and Renewal3 ≥ today ; criteria2 = Renewal4 ≥ today or Renewal5 ≥ today ; criteria3 = Renewal6 ≥ today

  10. You might want to take a look at the BaseElements plugin - specifically its BE_FileListFolder() function. It also has a function for uploading to FTP. A similar functionality is available natively in FMP; you can use the Get(DocumentsPathListing) function to list the entire Documents folder, then filter this list to keep only files in a specified folder. And the Insert From URL script step supports ftp and ftps protocols. Note that importing a folder of files is fundamentally different from importing a file: when you import a folder, each file is placed in a container field of a new

  12. Two things: 1) clearly something is not quite working properly in the process and that would need to be fixed to work properly in the debugger, 2) but even if you fixed it, it wouldn't work as a server-side script. FMS cannot import directly from another hosted FM file. It's a server limitation. You need to produce your found set and export it to a non-FM format (CSV, tab delimited, whatever your preference) and then import from that intermediate file.

  14. You are looking at the wrong metric. You are missing data. You don’t know how many of these items were resolved off-forum. FMForums provides the space for them, and while it is “official”, that in no way says it is the primary or expedited course. Call them or send an email to their support address.
