  1. I realize this thread is very old, but hope someone has some recent data regarding FM10 in regard to Vaughan's Letters.fp7. I'd like to insert a logo into a new letter, but when creating a new letter can't get a picture insert to stay. It will go into the layout mode just fine, but doesn't show up in Browse mode. Any suggestions will be deeply appreciated.
  2. That's exactly what I did. Tried again and gave up after 30 minutes. There must be a problem with the server not accepting downloads. Mine is only 242KB.
  3. That's a Thread I posted which doesn't relate to this. I'm having trouble adding a zip attachment; it's been at it for 20 minutes now. Please contact me off line at bj486963@gmail.com and I'll send it to you directly if you don't mind taking a look at the file. Thanks.
  4. As it stands now the due date for Date Due one is: Case (Type Pledge = "monthly"; Date ( Month ( Start Pledge Date ) ; Day ( Start Pledge Date ) ; Year ( Start Pledge Date ) )) and accordingly for the others based on Pledge Type. I'd like to have Start Date and End Date fields for the user to complete and get a results that produced results over two or three years according to the pledges made. Currently the monthly sum doesn't have any conditions for year variance i.e. Jan. 2009 pledges are summed with Jan. 2010 and 2011.
  5. I need to figure out a calculation giving a results based on dollars due each month when the results may or may not over lap years. I have a pledge amount of x due either monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually as pledge type. A start date field is established and the due dates are determined by the pledge type, which gives a number of payments. So far I've determined what is due each month from all pledges, but with a pledge overlaps a year it's throw in to the summary as well i.e. Joe pledges $200 a month beginning in Sept. 2009 and running through Aug. of 2010. 6. I don't want the script to proceed. I'm just not sure where to put the steps you suggest in the script. Here's what I've got without your suggestion: Enter Browse Mode [] Show/Hide Status Area [Lock; Show] Set Field [Field; Get (LayoutName )] Go to Layout ["Layout Name" ] Set Error Capture [On] Enter Find Mode [] Set Field [Field] Perform Find [] If [Get(LastError) = 401] Show Custom Dialog ["No matching ......"] Set Error Capture [Off] Show All Records Exit Script [] End If Set Error Capture [Off] Sort Records [Restore; No dialog] Show Custom Dialog ["Ch
  7. Thanks. Both suggestions work except when I test it with a bad entry if I hit tab there is no warning dialog, but if I hit enter I get a warning dialog. The logical entry procedure would be to hit tab. Also when I do get a warning dialog and hit Revert Record there is a second warning, "Revert all changes to this record since it was last entered?" If that's referring to any and all fields, I need to get rid of it. In the instance I'm working on other entries could have been made that shouldn't be reverted.
  8. Since I can't figure out how to add an attachment, I'll try to explain what I need to do. I've got a script that takes the user from one layout to another if an account number is entered. The account number needs to be five numeric digits. I'm trying to put steps in the script that give a warning, prior to going to the next layout, that the correct entry wasn't make. Since there is a similar section on the first layout that requires the first couple of letters of a last name, I think it's important to let the user know he entered alpha characters where numbers should have been without disc
  9. I've got a field that has to have 2 numeric characters and 1 alpha character i.e 06B. I can't figure out how to set the Validation. Do I need a script for this field? If so, any pointers for this newbie would be appreciated.
  10. : My bad. I'd done the conditional formatting, but failed to change the fill color on the layout itself.
  11. I've got a calculation field set to a background color regardless of the results, which in this case is "Yes" or "nothing." I'd like for the field fill color to be different when the results is nothing. Is there a way to do this? If so, where can I find the RGB for the color I want if the results is nothing. When I say nothing, I mean it is filled with the current background but results is not displayed.
  12. You're absolutely correct as I discovered trying it. I will have to write a script to trigger a dialog if one or the other is empty but not if both are completed, right?
  13. I'm a newbie and haven't dealt with Script Triggers. But, wouldn't OnObjectExit be more appropriate?
  14. Another newbie question, please. If Field x has data entered into it by the operator, y needs to have data entered also and vice versa. How can I put a warning dialog in so if the operator enters data in x but not y they get a warning before they can proceed?
