  1. Thanks for your reply... what needs to be done to get it working on it's current layout?
  2. Hi All, I have adopted "Event Management" starter from FMP11 and I came across with this very strange problem which I spent so much time trying to figure it out but no success. I have created this relationship "Contacts::k_ID_Contact ad Events_Guests::kf_ID_Contact" with the objective of counting the number of events attended by a contact. I have created EventsAttendedCount in the Contacts table and assigned a calculation "Count(Events_EventsGuests::kf_ID_Contact)" but to my surprise it's not do the calculation. Please look at the attached file and tell me what's wrong
  3. No crash so far after disabling IE8 add-ons. Thanks Wim.
  4. Hi, FMP11 Advanced crashes occasionally on Windows 7 OS. Below is the problem signature. Anyone here encountered the same problem? How did you resolved? Thanks. 5. Hi, When logging in to a file hosted by FMServer10 as [Data Entry Only] user, the first thing I get is "Your access privileges do not allow you to perform this action" and it won't allow me to open the file. However, I can login successfully if I login as [Full Access] user. I initially thought that it is a result of my startup script so I disabled it but i'm still getting the error upon login. Also, there is no issue on all both accounts when I stop the hosting and open the file directly. Anyone has encountered this problem? Any ideas?
  6. Hi mfero, Thanks for your suggestion.... I managed to do it. Although it works but I'm sure the experts might have a better solution. Please find attached. Users.zip
  7. Hi, Is it possible to change a user's privilege set via script? The reason I asked is because I have created a "user management" for the supervisor to create manage users. Kindly look at the attached file and see if you could do something via script to change the privilege set based on the value of the "Privilege" field. Thanks in advance, Garu Users.zip

    Summary in a portal

I have the following tables: 1. Contacts (Event_ID, Contact_ID, Name, Company) 2. Guest (Event_ID, Event_Name) Table 1 & 2 are related by Event_ID field. On a Guest layout, I'd like to display a summary base on company name (in a portal and in browse mode) as illustrated on my first post.
  10. Hi, is it possible to display summary in a portal? Assuming I have the following records: Name Company Peter A John B Paul C Mary A I'd like to display the summary in a portal this way: Company Count A 2 B 1 C 1 Is that possible?
  11. Thanks Vaughan for the suggestion... Have you actually look at my attachment? I can't seem to format the headers the way I present it in my attachment as the summary is limited to either trailing or leading.
  12. Hi to all, I have adopted and amended FM11 built-in Event Management solution and I need help to accomplish a report where selected records in Events::EventName as headers and rows as the related records from EventsGuests table. I'm not sure if I explained it well so I have attached the desired output Custom Report.pdf to illustrate further. Thanks...
  13. Hi, I've adopted "DateDifference" custom function by Brian Dunning, created and tested working perfect in FM Adv 8.5. However, it doesn't work when I hosted it with FMServer 8 and accessed by FM8 Pro clients. But the same hosted database works fine in FM Adv 8.5. Please help. Thanks, Garu
