  1. Hi all... I have a client that uses WebDirect to enter order data in a portal. They are simply entering a qty, scrolling down, entering another qty etc. During this process when entering and scrolling, some of the data disappears. Eg. They enter 20 but when looking back at the field it only has a 2 in it or it is completely removed. I have tested this myself and it indeed does happen, it is not user error but is not consistent either. I am running a script to validate data on exit but it doesn't touch any fields, just references the Qty field and shows a dialog error if applicable. I have removed this validation on exit and it still happens. Users are using WebDirect on their local network but other users have reported this over the internet also. Some of these lists can be quite long and going back to double check your order can be time intensive. Has anyone had a similar problem with WebDirect data entry? Thanks in advance for your input. FileMaker Server 15.0.3, FileMaker Pro 15.0v4 Mac 10.11.6 El Capitan, various browsers
  2. Hi... I have recently installed MirrorSync on a windows FM15Server, successfully set it up using JDBC, downloaded the file to the iPad, changed a record, then attempted to sync. I was so excited... and then ba..bowww.... Error Last sync failed: com.prosc.sync.AbortException: [FileMaker][FileMaker JDBC] Invalid parameter binding(s). Is there a clue to where I should be looking or a log somewhere that I could see to find out what the problem might be? Any help appreciated. Thank you
  3. Thanks all for your input. I think it is related to the router. I will post with an update soon. Thanks again for your responses and time taken.
  4. Sorry. I am using FileMaker Server/Pro 13 and accessing via Webdirect using Safari as the browser. I can see that it is accessing the IP address OK. I just need help in setting up the Fully Qualified Domain Name on the Mac so I can use that in the URL to access the databases in my browser. I suspect it is something to do with my router????
  5. I have installed an SSL on FileMaker Server to access databases securely via WebDirect. All works well when I use the IP address however I cannot get the FQDN to work (server name.domainname.net.au). I'm obviously missing some integral part in setting up the FQDN on the Mac hosting the FM Server. Can anyone point me in the right direction please? Thanks
  6. Any help appreciated!! I have a strange situation where records appear to be deleted. There's evidence that the record has been created as the serial number has been used. No users who have access to deletion have been in on the day the record disappears (on several occasions). I have checked: Scripts that might have full access privileges, scripts that delete, relationships that could delete related records. All good there. Has anyone had similar experiences with FileMaker Pro 12.0v4/FM Server 12.0v2 Mac OSX Snow Leopard/Mountain Lion?
  7. I'm just wondering if anyone has come across a problem with IWP (FM11/Win) and using existing records? I have a database hosted with automatic login as Guest (read/write) via a Browser. There are no tools available on screen, all is navigated via buttons. A user creates a new record with a button that simply creates a new record and takes the user to the data entry screen for them to fill out the details. My problem is that on a couple of occasions the online user is presented with someone else's record, not a new record. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how this can happen?
