  1. This is a problem with the way the IWP is handing the user login. If, via a script, you change the users password in a separate file, the user will lose their privileges to the related file. The only way around this I've found is to use a single file with multiple tables.
  2. If you're on a mac, there should be an applescript based solution...

    Multi-Page Field?

Here is an idea... Use three fields: TheRidiculouslyLongField, PageGlobal, PageDisplayCalc... ThePageDisplayCalc is simply -- MiddleWords ( TheRidiculouslyLongField ; (PageGlobal - 1) * 100 ; 100 ) The 100 is arbitrary -- use what ever works for your layout. You'll need a couple or few scripts -- e.g. goto next page, previous page, first page. These scripts will simply increment or decrement ThePageGlobal. You can paste your length transcript into TheRidiculouslyLongField and then view it page by page via the calc field.
  4. I've been working on an implementation of the separation model and have found a significant problem. Things were progressing fine until I implemented an audit trail -- using Nightwing AuditTrailTest.zip
  5. I see you're hunting around... This is the post you're looking for... http://www.fmforums.com/threads/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/108881/an/0/page/1#108881 [best to search before you post]
  6. Use the calculation -- Position( Get( ApplicationVersion ); "Web"; 1; 1) > 0
  7. Just throw an Exit Loop If ["Status ( CurrentFoundCount ) < 1"] step into your loop...

  10. Use the open url script step and the html mailto command -- formatted something like... mailto:email-id@address.com?subject=subject_line
  11. Maybe the file doesn't have the appropiate creator type or three letter extension. You can use AS to directly open the file in Acrobat.
  12. You can link to your web page directly by using the formatted url of the start page you want. (e.g. )While this doesn't eliminate the homepage, it at least allows you to skip it.
  13. If it is client side email you need, why not send email using the Open URL script step. Otherwise you can process the email on the server side.
  14. You have a couple options. You can insert the PDF into a container as an internally stored image. You will see the first page of the PDF as if it were a single page graphic. Or you can insert the PDF as a file reference and you will see the first page on the layout -- and double clicking the will open the PDF in another application. (You also have the file reference option, but it will not display on the layout as a graphic.)
