  1. thanks for your reply, I did not know Instant Web Publishing was removed in version 13
  2. thanks Wim, I want to open in a browser because that's how i'm used to displaying FM dbs. I want all the nice visuals i can do with html. I was able to do it with FMP 5.5 simply by using localhost in the browser's URL. I'm guessing that has changed. I'm also used to writing code in PHP. Do you recall being able to use local host with earlier versions of FMP?
  3. Thanks Wim, I am the only user. I'd like my mac to be the server so I can work offline on my computer only. I don't want to use a FM server, only my computer. I used to be able to do this with FMP 5 and local host on my computer offline. Does that Help?
  4. Hi All, I'd like to use fmp 14 databases on my off-line computer only using local host and a browser. Is this possible without using FMP 14 server? Thanks!
  5. Hi, I have a field called 'mytournament1'. I also have a field called 'mytournament1played'. With a form, I create the variable $tournament to bring 'mytournament1' to my results page. $tournament = $_GET['tournament']; I'd like to force the results page to search for the field 'mytournament1played' for each record by using the variable $tournament and combining the word 'played' or the variable $played. $played = 'played'; $tournamentplayed = $tournament . $played; $tournamentplayed2 = $record->getField('$tournamentplayed'); (I want it to deliver) $re
  6. Thanks Doughemi and Webko, I tried both techniques and did not get the results I'm looking for. I don't know if it's possible to do. I'm ranking tennis doubles players, here's a link. http://ssvtennis.com/include-sd-ssvcuprankings.php
  7. Hi, I'd like to creat a sorting order with a $varCount like: 1 1 2 2 3 3 and alternating row colors that will print: pink pink yellow yellow pink pink Here is the kind of coding I'm using that works fine for sequential numbering and odd/even row colors. I appreciate anyone who can help me change these parameters, as I have tried every combination I could think of. Thanks! <?php $row = 0; $varCount = 0; foreach($records as $record) { $varCount = $varCount + 1; if($row % 2 == 0)
  8. Hi Doughemi, I'd like to do a search where the the result doesn't equal something.  My coding is obviously wrong, but hope you get the idea.  All records where myField does not equal '1'

    $myFind->addFindCriterion('myField', '!=1');

      I prefer that you ask questions on the forum in the future. That way, others can benefit.

      See this thread.

      I can't tell if the link was included in the previous reply.  It is http://fmforums.com/topic/100786-constrain-find-possible/?do=findComment&comment=458882

  9. Hi, is there any reason my DB crashes web publishing engines? It is a simple database on an FMP12 server. clients generally toggle simple buttons on or off. Is there a function inside the DB itself that I have not turned on or off? Is it a sharing, permissions or admin thing? Is this a problem with other users? I'm new and you guys in this forum have really helped me a lot! Thanks in advance!
  10. I tried the pagination link of yours and It gave me errors, do you know if there's any bugs in it? Any other links on pagination? I'd love to see your module if you dug one up. Thanks!
  11. thanks Webko, that's terrific. you're a champ! How would that work using variables? addFindCriterion('ssvm', '$Num1...$Num2');
