  1. I just changed service providers from Covad to Verizon and I have heard from my clients that the Thumbnail is not showing in Internet Explorer 6. Can this issue have anything to do with service providers? I have tested it with FireFox (Mac & PC) and Safari and it shows in those browsers. Any ideas on how to get the thumbnail to show in Explorer? Here is the code: "> Thanks in Advance - Sam
  2. I have run into an issue that I can not figure out how to resolve. I am running FileMaker Server Advanced 7.0v4 on Mac OS 10.4. Custom Publishing with php. I have changed my dsl service and my static IP address has changed, so i figured all I would have to do is get the ip address to change in the Web Admin Console under Clients in the FileMaker Server Admin, which I did. I am able to connect to the FileMaker Server Advanced Web Administration Console with the new ip address. The new static ip address is showing in the Overview page. I restarted the Web Publishing Engine and logged out. The html login page displays when I enter the new static ip address. When I try to login with user id and password, the browser pauses for sometime than give me and error page that the login user id and password were incorrect. It looks like the login page is not connecting to the database. When I reconfigure FileMaker Server to the old static ip address, everything works fine and I can login and access the records. I am total stumped. Any ideas? Sam
  3. I have been working of this for days and am quite frustrated in how difficult it is to change the ip address in web publishing. I have a custom web solution that I have been running for years with no problem. I have changed my dsl provider and now have a new static ip address. The solution is being run on FileMaker Server Advanced 7. Is there an easy way of doing this? I often get an error page in the Web Publishing Console when trying to change the Ip address. After changing the ip address, FileMaker Server shows the new address in the Summary window. When I go to Configure and than to the Clients tab the old ip address is showing in the Web Admin Console field. I have logged into the http://localhost:80/fmi/config and it takes forever to load in the browser and I usually get a message such as unexpected error and the database is not showing up nor has the new ip address populated the Web Admin Console field. Are there any files that can be deleted that will get me back to the beginning where I can newly configure the FileMaker Server Advanced Web Publishing Administration Console? Any help will be greatly appreciated or can you direct me to a place where the answers are direct and clear. Happy Holidays - Sam
  4. Thank you so much Phil. Your way worked perfectly. All the best - Sam
  5. Thanks for trying to help sb2, but your solution did not work. The script got hung up on row two and kept sending emails and creating new records for the 2nd row.
  6. Please help a dyslexic with this issue: Problem - I have three tables, email table, leads table and leads newsletter table. The leads table is a portal in the email table. The script action is to go to the first row of the leads portal and send an email, than go to the leads newsletter table and create a record, than return to the leads table and go to the next row and repeat the process. I have been able to have it all work except the last record in the row is not being acted on. The only way I have been able to make it work is to create a dummy record in the leads table with the highest id number so it is the last record in the portal row. Not the most elegant of solutions. Here is the script: Set Field [ Mass Mail::portal_count_g; 1 ] Loop Go to Portal Row [ Mass Mail::portal_count_g ] Set Field [ leads_find_2::row_number; Mass Mail::portal_count_g ] Set Field [ Mass Mail::ID_g; leads_find_2::id ] Set Field [ Mass Mail::portal_count_g; leads_find_2::row_number ] Set Field [ leads_find_2::newsletter; Mass Mail::Newsletter title ] Set Field [ Settings::Results; Settings::Results & "¶¶" & Set Field [ leads_find_2::Results; SMTPit_Send & "¶" & Set Field [ Mass Mail::portal_count_g; leads_find_2::row_number + 1 ] Perform Script [ "New Record Leads Newsletter" ](this is where the new record in the leads newsletter table is created) Exit Loop If [ leads_find_2::count_dr= Mass Mail::portal_count_g ] End Loop Thanks in advance for your help - Sam
  7. I have an external file (SMTPIT Pro) that sends emails to leads (stored in a separate database). Each email batch I send has a title such as Newsletter 1, Newsletter 2, ect. In the leads database I want each batch title to be entered into a repeating field so I know what Newsletter that particular lead has been sent. I have tried to figure this out without much success. When the new email is sent the previous title is being replaced instead of being entered on a new line in the repeating field. Any ideas on how I can make this work? Thanks in advance for your help - Sam
  8. Thanks John, but your last post solution created empty entries in the import2 field. Don't worry though because I decided to create two scripts, one for one name city and the other for a two name city. thanks for all you help - Sam
  9. John - as you can see you are dealing with someone who is a novice at all this. I have corrected the lines you mentioned, but I still have the same problem. Here is the script for city, state and zipcode: Trim ( Substitute ( MiddleValues ( Substitute ( Substitute ( MiddleValues ( leads::import; 3 ; 1 ); "¶"; "" ); ","; "¶"); 1 ; 1 ); "¶"; "" ) ) & ¶ & Trim ( Substitute ( MiddleValues ( Substitute ( MiddleValues ( leads::import; 3 ; 1 ); " "; "¶"); 2 ; 1 ); "¶"; "" ) ) & ¶ & Trim ( Substitute ( MiddleValues ( Substitute ( MiddleValues ( leads::import; 3 ; 1 ); " "; "¶"); 3 ; 1 ); "¶"; "" ) ) This works fine for: Vernon, NJ 07462 which gives me: Vernon NJ 07462 But when I try it on this: San Francisco, CA 94122 I get this: San Francisco Francisco, CA Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong? As always, thanks for your help - Sam
  10. John - you have been so helpful, I was hoping you can help me with one last issue. How do i deal with the difference between a city that has one word verses on that has two. Here is what I have for parsing city, state and zip code: Trim ( Substitute ( MiddleValues ( Substitute ( MiddleValues ( leads::import; 3 ; 1 ); " "; "¶"); 1; 1 ); "¶"; " " ) ) & ¶ & Trim ( Substitute ( MiddleValues ( Substitute ( MiddleValues ( leads::import; 3 ; 1 ); " "; "¶"); 2; 1 ); "¶"; "" ) ) & ¶ & Trim ( Substitute ( MiddleValues ( Substitute ( MiddleValues ( leads::import; 3 ; 1 ); " "; "¶"); 3; 1 ); "¶"; "" ) ) This returns: Boston MA 02453 But if the city has two words than I get this: San Francisco, CA Thanks again for your help - Sam
  11. Actually, I am not quite there yet. I am getting carrage returns in the individual fields and I don't want them. How do I get the script not to put carrage returns in each field? Does "¶" have something to do with returns. I don't know what "Â" means. Thanks in advance - Sam
  12. mr_vodka I tried your solution and it worked fine until I tried to break state and zip code into separate lines. Because there is no period or comma after state the script sees them as one. How can I fix this so that all three (city, state & zip) break into three lines. Here is what you gave me for state and zip code: State Trim ( Substitute ( MiddleValues ( Substitute ( Substitute ( MiddleValues ( PARSEFIELD; 6 ; 1 ); "¶"; "" ); ","; "¶"); 1 ; 2 ); "¶"; "" ) ) Zipcode Trim ( Substitute ( MiddleValues ( Substitute ( Substitute ( MiddleValues ( PARSEFIELD; 6 ; 1 ); "¶"; "" ); ","; "¶"); 1 ; 3 ); "¶"; "" ) ) Thanks again - Sam
  13. Thank you so much mr-vodka, I will give it a try. Sam
