  10. Windows 2008 Server

If this information can be useful, from our experience with running FileMaker Server 9 on Windows Server 2008, the database engine can be managed trough command line instructions, and the console can be accessed remotely from any Windows XP or Mac OS X workstation. We did install the small 9.0.3.326 update for our Intel-Mac workstation to connect properly. That being said, since FileMaker Server 9 is not certified for Windows Server 2008 and not officially supported, I would not recommend using it until an official update is released by FMI. 11. Any new info on this subject ? I've just been contacted by a new client that has the exact same symptom (being unable to stop the service). Just to make sure, I tried it on our internal development server, and guess what, we have the same problem here too. I just never realized it before today, since we never needed to stop the service since we installed FMS8 on the machine... But we also have an external Web server that doesn't have the problem, so it seems the problem is not happening on all machines...
  12. Importing from HyperCard

I'm looking for the same info... but the provided link doesn't seem to work... Anyone know where I can find it ?
  13. Good point. I didn't think about that... We never distribute runtime solutions, so I was not aware of the consequences of such a breach... I'll ask FMI directly, Thanks for the advice
  14. One of my client created and distributed a FMA8 runtime solution to his clients, but didn't write down the binding key. Now, he wants to update some files (not all)... He was used to the default 123456 binding key of FMD6 and didn't pay attention to the new date/time default value of FMA8 (ex.: 2006-05-02 15:09:21) Is there a way for him to retrieve the binding key of an existing solution or is he forced to redistribute all the files to his clients? Anyone has a solution ? Thanks
  15. Sorry for the delay, but I just wanted you to know that I used the Value List option and it works just fine. I don't know why I didn't think of using it in the first place. I guess I wanted to use the new GetNthRecord so badly that I forgot to look at other more simpler options ! Thanks again
