  1. I am experienced with FileMaker Development, but this is my first personal experience with installing a server. The server is currently running Windows NT and was the same server we were using for development using FileMaker Server v3. I know where the files are supposed to go (in the FileMaker Server's Program directory or one level below it), but it there a way to have FileMaker Server v5.5 control and automatically open database files in a different directory. We don't want to move the files off the server, but we do want to have them exist on a different logical drive. Part of the issue is for backups. But an equally large issue is the need for separation from the programs due to security needs and separation of duties. Is the default location for the database files an absolute, a firm recommendation, or adjustable (even with some work)? Thanks for any help.... David
