  1. We have a server which was running FMS 11v2 on OSXS 10.6.7 quite happily using external authentication (from OD running on a separate machine running OSXS 10.6.6). We applied the 11v3 update and trouble started. Some users were able to log in and some could not. This is similar to one of the problems reportedly fixed by the update, and one that we experienced (on a different machine) with 11v1. After an uninstall of FMS and then reinstall, leaving it at 11v2 has restored full functionality. We would like to get the server updated as a number of issues are resolved by the 11v3 update. Any ideas?

    Slow Drop Down Menus

Are you sure you mean Drop Down Menus? Pop-up Lists in FileMaker 7 on Windows do have a very long lag. FileMaker have no solution except to suggest using Pop-up Menus instead.

  5. I am trying to get a database to work in multiple countries. Working with dates has proven to be troublesome. What I find is that if I use the GetAsText(date), the result is always US format, no matter what country system the database is running on and no matter whether I use Set Use System Formats [On] or not. Is the GetAsText function simply paying no attention to the local system format, i.e. is this a bug, and just using ghe format the DB was originally created in, or am I missing something?
