  2. Hi, Thanks for the resource but i tried copying your code into my db into the fied age_years and no luck. I tried your code but substituted your currentdate field with my vis_date field and when i click ok i get a pop up message saying "This parameter is an ivalid get function". This is the code i used. GetAsNumber(Year(Get(vis_Date)) - Year(dateofbirth) - Case(Get(visDate) < Date(Month(dateofbirth); Day(dateofbirth); Year(Get(vis_Date))); 1; 0)) & " Years, " Would you know why it is not working?
  3. Hi, Can you please help with a calculation that will subtract the visit date - date of birth. The results shall be provided to the user in years, months, weeks, and days. I have attached a small file for testing. thank you so much who ever you are.... Date_Calc.zip
  4. Hello aaa, Were you able to check out the new zip file with new records for the report.
  5. Thank you so much for your help. I have added more records per your request. (please see attachment). I also created a table and named it "Combination" which will hold all the grants, gift, and subcontract data. I am not sure if this is correct. Would you be able to check it out and make any necessary changes to make the report successful. If i make changes to example: grant table, then it should update the report with the new changes. Thank you again for your time Grant_Gift_Subcon_revised.zip
  6. Scenario: One employee can have many grants. One employee can have many gifts One employee can have many subcontracts. I have 4 tables: Employees, Grants, Gifts, Subcontracts. (Please see attachment) Each Grant, Gift and Subcontract have a unique account #. -All Grants start with an account# starting in 1. -All Gifts start with an account# starting in 2. -All Subcontrats start with an account# starting in 3. Problem and Question: 1. If I change the employees id, first name, or last name in the employee table, the grants, gifts, and subcontract table does not update the new employees name. How can I get it to do this throughout the grants, gifts, and subcontract tables? 2. I have never created a report that pulls data from [color:red]4 tables. Pretty please help me to create [color:red]ONE grand report that is sorted by an employees last name. Below the last name of each employee, it will display all the account #’s for grants, gift, and subcontracts that employee has. Then gives a subtotal for that employee. I will need a grand total to show the grand total $ for all employees. Help??? Example: 10 John Doe Account #101 Grant from Fed Govt. 50,000 Account #201 Gift from Ford Corp 10,000 Account #202 Gift from McDonls 15,000 Account #301 Subcontrat Mrs. Green 5,000 Subtotal for John Doe $80,000 Grant_Gift_Subcon_DB.zip
  7. Hi Veteran, Thanks for your help. I added your code into my program but it is adding 5 years to all echo dates. Can you please help me calculated the next echo date based on the risk level and most recent echo date. Ex 1. If patient 100 has echo date on 01/01/2006 and has a risk level of 2 then the next echo should be 01/01/08. Ex 2. If patient 200 has echo date on 01/01/2006 and has a risk level of 0 then the next echo should be 01/01/11. My requirements are: Risk level 0 = Echo Date + 5 years Risk level 1 = Echo Date + 2 years Risk level 2 = Echo Date + 2 years Pretty please keep in mind the next echo date should only have the patients most recent echo + # of years based on risk level. This data should also appear in the portal. (note: there is now only 1 portal). please see attachment. DTEST.zip
  8. I have 3 tables: Intake, Echo Tracking, and Echo Results. I would like to create a calculation that will add a certain amount of years to the [color:red]echo next field based on a [color:red]patient most [color:red]recent Echo Date and Risk level. Case#_Grid# is the primary key which is unique for all patients. The database should only look at the most recent echo date for each case#grid# and add the number of years based on the risk level onto the echo next field. This value should also appear in the portal. If patient has risk 0 then the next echo field should be echo date + 5 years. If patient has risk 1 then the next echo field should be echo date + 2 years. If patient has risk 2 then the next echo field should be echo date + 2 years. Please see datbase file. thanks. DTEST.zip
  9. Hi SingleQuanta, Were you able to figure it out. Perhaps you are still on your business trip or just enjoying the beautiful beach in Australia. Well if you get a chance do you think you can take a look at how to update the records from Intake? Thanks for all your help. MT
  10. Sounds good. i appreciate your effort. It was my mistake assuming the data would change automatically throughout the tables if a user changed it from the Intake form. I am not sure if this is of interest to you but i will clue you in on the scope of the DB. This DB is for children who are sick and need various types of medical treatment, ex. cesd is one of the treatments they go through. In order to receive medical treatment, each child needs to fill out an Intake Form to log all their assessments and visitdates. (This logs all children into the DB and all their assessemnt id's and dates). After this occurs, each child will go through different treatments, example cesd treatment. And each treatment consist of 9 assessments and 9 visitdates. Example: Intake: patient 600, assessment 1, 01/01/06 patient 600, assessment 2, 02/10/06 patient 600, assessment 3, 05/10/06 "" until patient reaches assessement 9 CESD treatment: patient 600, assessment 1, 01/01/06 patient 600, assessment 2, 02/10/06 patient 600, assessemnt 3, 05/10/06 "" until patient reach assessement 9 PSI treatment: patient 600, assessment 1, 01/01/06 patient 600, assessment 2, 02/10/06 patient 600, assessemnt 3, 05/10/06 "" until patient reach assessement 9 Notice all treatments occur based on Intake data. So in other words, each treatment can only occur if the child is logged into the Intake table because this is a log of all their assessments and vistdates that exist. [color:red]The child goes through various treatments all in one day. If a user changes an assessment number or visit date in the Intake table then it should update the cesd table and psi table with the new assessment number and or visit dates. Note: All treatments are done on the same day the child is logged into Intake. This is why i called Intake the Master Table/Form. Hope this info helps and aids you in understanding why it is important to update all treatment data (ex. cesd, psi) based on the changes made on Intake. Note, i don't think i added psi table in case you are wondering where it is. Hope you have or had fun on your business trip and sorry if i wrote too much but i think it may help. Thanks again.
  11. Thanks steve for your concern but if a change is made in the Intake form then it does not update in the cesd. Example, if i want to change assess id and or visit date for patient 600 then the changed data will not appear in cesd. As it stands right now, it prompts the user if they want to create a new record versus updating a change. This is my fault, because i thought having a global variable would automatically carry the change over.
  12. Hello, This is great but i thought the purpose of creating global variables is so that the value is carried over throughout different tables, even if the value changed. For example: Intake has patiend id 600, assessment 2, and 01/01/2006. If the user changed the assessment and date of this patient to be assessment 3 and 11/11/2006 then it does not update CESD with the change??? It actually ends up prompting the user to create a new record but it should not because it should replace the record with the new change. Sorry to be a bother but i have never been confronted with this. Is there a way to ensure that if an assessment or visit date is changed, it will automatically change in the other table.
