  1. Thanks for the response, Steven. We also have the option to upgrade to FMS13. Do you know what the latest version of PHP Filemaker has certified for FMS 13? FMS 12? What are the main advantages of going to Windows Server OS? Again this topic was started because our IT assessment team are aware of critical security vulnerabilities with PHP 5.3.8 which we need to address. Does suggested environment address this? Thanks for again for your reply, Werner
  2. Our IT security assessment team found critical vulnerabilities with the version of php (5.3.8) we are running and recommend we upgrade to the latest version php 5.5.10. We are running on Windows 7 Professional with a one-machine deployment. My question is what is the easiest way to update php to the latest version without reinstalling FMS12. When we originally installed FMS12 we let the install take care of loading php.
  3. We had an error come up on our Filemaker 11 server running on Windows with two machine deployment. Our php apps are generating the following error when we try to connect to the database server: Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in C:Program FilesFileMakerFileMaker ServerWeb Publishingpublishing-enginephpFileMakerImplementationFileMakerImpl.php Nothing has been modified by IT support or our developers as far as we know. Any suggestions what we might do to reestablish a connection between our web server and database server? Has anybody had a similar situation.
  4. Just wanted to update you on our Issue. We completed a reinstall of Filemaker 12 and changed some of the settings: 1) Reduced Files to host from default to 40 2) Set Filemaker Clients down from 250 to 50 3) Set database cache to max 3071 4) CWP sessions are 100 Our environment again is a 2 machine deployment with quad-core CPUs and 6G memory running Windows Server 2008 R2 Clients using filemaker can access the databases without any issues. Web clients using CWP stop working after connected clients reach 40 ( of type fmapp(5) fmphp(35), then we get 500-internal server error. How is filemaker determining number of users for fmphp clients? This was not an issue before we upgrade from Filemaker 11. So as far as we can tell, when connected clients of both types (fmapp&fmphp) exceed 40, clients of fmphp get an 500 internal error.
  5. We have a two machine deployment on Windows Server 2008 R2 with IIS running FMS 12 v4 and our php apps quit after about 10 minutes. After restarting the worker system it works for 10 minutes and then again quits. The error message displayed in the log viewer after restarting for Web Publishing Core is "webuser PHP 401 565 when querying the database. This continues for about 10 minutes and then the browser displays a 500 internal server error and all 3 of the php apps stop working. Any suggestions appreciated.
  6. We have a two-machine config running on Windows Server 2003. All of a sudden when we login in with the FM Server Admin we get an "Admin Server Connection Error: Unknown error has occurred". We have to reboot. Then when we are logged in the WPE engine is not running and when we try to edit the config, it can not find the IP address. This all stopped working without any human intervention. The Server is running behind the firewall and the WPE runs in the DMZ. This setup has been running fine for about a year. We installed the latest version of Filemaker Server Advanced for Windows 2003 Server. Any ideas how to troubleshoot this? Thanks, Werner Netforest, Inc.
  7. I am using FS9A on Windows 2003 server in a two machine deployment. We need to change the internal IP address of the worker station. Both machines are behind the firewall since the system is only for internal testing. After changing the address, when we load the php page it only loads the html and then hangs. We changed the ip address in the following places: 1) On the worker machine (TCP/IP) 2) In the php connection file 3) Under IIS manager the properties for Default web site 4) On the Master machine, admin console, editied deployment and assigned it to new worker IP address. (Green lights on for PHP with new address.) Is there any place I might have missed. When we change it back to the original ip address it works fine. Thanks for any help, Werner
  8. As it turned out, this was a firewall issue and was finally resolved. The error message regarding to many WPE connections was quite misleading.
  9. I have installed FMS9A (Windows OS) using a two machine deployment. After a successful install (green lights on), the php test fails with the message "WPE has too many active sessions. (error 956). I am running Windows Server 2003. The databases are accessible, but accessing the sample database with PHP does not work. phpinfo() also displays the current php environment indicating php is running on the second machine.
  10. It seems the best option for installing FMS9 is to do a clean install. After reinstalling OS X on my macmini, the FMS9 installed worked perfectly. As long as you remember to back up critical files, this produced the best results.
  11. Here we go again. Thought this would be an easy upgrade. I am installing the technet version of FMS9 on OS X latest version with all updates on a macmini. Started the admin_console_init_webstart.jnlp and get "The Database Server is not available". I also followed the unistall instructions of fms8 ID#6588 from filemaker knowledge base. any ideas how to solve this? The post started on this(http://www.fmforums.com/forum/showtopic.php?tid/190592/) didn't seem to help. Thanks for any help you can offer.
  12. FMSA is configured on a second box. Using the web admin console I was able to enter the IP address of the second box and I assume it configured correctly. I am not on site, but I think I was able to see the databases setup through IWP. I will double check. Any other suggestions for what to check specifically?
  13. I have the Filemaker php api installed on an IIS server running windows 2003 server. When I try to run my app I get the following error: Communication Error (7): unable to connect to host at this line of code: $Location_row = current($Location_result->getRecords()); I also tried the catalog_example and when tried to show all records the following errors occurred: Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: open(C:PHPsessiondatasess_dc7b9d7a06ac2af3156755e7a25a9d62, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in C:Inetpubwwwrootfmview.php on line 19 Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cookie - headers already sent by (output started at C:Inetpubwwwrootrecordlist.php:3) in C:Inetpubwwwrootfmview.php on line 19 Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at C:Inetpubwwwrootrecordlist.php:3) in C:Inetpubwwwrootfmview.php on line 19 * Home * Find Records * Show All Records * View Record List * Add Record An Error Occurred! Error: Unknown error Message: Communication Error: (22) The requested URL returned error: 400 Is there something missing in the configuration?
  14. I checked and it is setup as anonymous authentication. I also made sure the WPE & WPC are running as a service on the Filemaker Server machine. So what next?
  15. Sorry for the confusion. The setup is a two-computer solution variation B pg.32 of the FMSA8_Web_Install.pdf. The WPE is on the same computer as Filemaker Server and the Computer in the DMZ has web server module and admin console installed? Does that help?
