  1. Hi, Update - after a few simple mods - now the web pages are working ok... EX: <script> $(document).ready(function(){ var settings = { "async": true, "crossDomain": true, "url": "https://localhost/fmi/rest/api/auth/test", "method": "POST", "headers": { "content-type": "application/json", "cache-control": "no-cache" }, "processData": false, "data": '{"user":"xxx","password":"xxx","layout":"xxx"}' } $.ajax(settings).done(function (response) { console.log('auth call response', response); document.getElementById('demo').textContent = response.token; }); // end }); </script>
  2. Thanks for your help. I added the plug into Firefox but I’m not sure how to get it started. I don’t see any rested menu choices in Firefox. I also could not find any documentation on how to get up and running. Can you provide any insights? Also if you could comment on the HTML page I provided and let me know why that is only producing a white page and no console activity or anything I would greatly appreciate it
  3. Hi All, I am trying to set up a very basic HTML page to test out the FileMaker 16 Data API. I am on a Mac - EL Cap Test server: First of all I am using the Postman app on local host FileMaker server. I have got that working pretty well with success with scripts. I am attempting to take those settings and put them into an HTML web page. The first thing I am trying to do is try getting an authorization token using the post method with HTML web page. Currently, the pages are coming back BLANK including the console log so it's hard to track. Question: any ideas on how to get this set up? Here is my example test below– Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks - Dave <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <meta charset="UTF-8"> <title>auth test Document</title> <script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.2.1/jquery.min.js"></script> <script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.11.1.min.js"></script> <script src="https://code.jquery.com/mobile/1.4.5/jquery.mobile-1.4.5.min.js"></script> <script> $(document).ready(function(){ $("button").click(function(){ $.post("https://localhost/fmi/rest/api/auth/testfile", { headers: { 'Content-Type': 'application/json' }, // is this the right way to send headers user: "webtest", password: "webtest", layout: "webtest" }, function(data,status){ alert("Data: " + data + "\nStatus: " + status); console.log ('data', data); }); }); }); </script> </head> <body> <button>Send an HTTP POST request</button> </body> </html>

  6. Hi all, Curious about ExecuteSQL this works... ExecuteSQL ( "SELECT myfield FROM myTable WHERE myTable.color = ? and myTable.style = ? and myTable.id = ?" ; "" ; "" ; "black" ; "test" ; "3" ) but this fails... when I replace myTable.color selection from "black" to empty string "" then the result fails (when there are rows with this criteria)... ExecuteSQL ( "SELECT myfield FROM myTable WHERE myTable.color = ? and myTable.style = ? and myTable.id = ?" ; "" ; "" ; "" ; "test" ; "3" ) Q: any reason it fails? is it a syntax thing? how do I search for field = "" ?
  7. Hi all, I'm just getting started and trying to figure out the difference between fx.php and the filemaker php api. Can anyone enlighten me as to the differences and why one might be better than the other?
  8. 360Works Web Assistant plugin cdyne.com tech said this FileMaker does not recognize the SMS Notify! WSDL as it is a service reference unlike Phone Notify which is a web reference. You can certainly use PHP to write the code for SMS Notify! if you would like. Q: So is it possible to use the SMS Notify! WSDL with - 360Works Web Assistant plugin - *as a service*?
  9. Hi all, I'm trying to set up texting from filemaker using Cdyne web service http://www.cdyne.com/ Curious how I would set up scriptmaster to connect to Cdyne.? --- or I just saw - Web Services Manager plugin - is this better to use for this? Any hints to get me started would be appreciated.... I found this page ... http://sms2.cdyne.co...s/SimpleSMSsend and they discuss the response XML body.... but I'm not sure how that would work from the plugin perspective... The following is an example response Xml body: <SMSResponse xmlns="http://sms2.cdyne.com"> <Cancelled>true</Cancelled> <MessageID>1627aea5-8e0a-4371-9022-9b504344e724</MessageID> <Queued>true</Queued> <ReferenceID>String content</ReferenceID> <SMSError>NoError</SMSError> <SMSIncomingMessages> <SMSIncomingMessage> <FromPhoneNumber>String content</FromP etc.............

  13. Using FileMaker pro 6 I have a solution that has 20 plus files in a folder however the main startup file is outside the folder... I now want to get it inside the folder ( with the other files). Q: How best can I rework this solution and place the start-up file inside the main folder - and easily re-link the many relationships? As an example: I tried fooling around with this - closed the files - then moved the start-up file into the main folder - then attempted to re-link manually in the relationships window. I reset the links on one file - tested it - and it worked - then quit the solution. When I opened it again - the links did NOT hold - and went back to the original ( broken) State. Q: Why did the new links not stick...? How can I get them to stay? BTW: I do have fm developer 5.5 - but I believe it needs all the files in the Same folder prior to performing functions such as renaming etc. - right? If it can help with this issue - please let the know...
  14. Thanks Martha, Your suggestion worked great. But I'd like to know why *".mp3" - or *.mp3 - dosen't work right... please see below... - - - I'm getting some surprising behavior (at least to me) using the find command. Basically, I'm looking to find all items that end with .mp3 - so: ==*".mp3" - this gets 7 items (as you said) *".mp3" - or *.mp3 - this gets 4 items - When I search for: *".mp3" - and then I show omitted records - I can see that the ones it did not find - before the .mp3 - all have either a number or a space like: "1.mp3" or "file .mp3" - So the * - which states that it is to be used to find " zero or more characters" - does not seem to be working as expected - is it? Q: Can you explain this to me?
  15. I have a friend who wants to get a copy of FileMaker Server 5.5 for PC. Q: Does anyone know where I can purchase a copy - hopefully used - or new? (I don't see it on FileMaker's Web-site or eBay - or Amazon... Hmmm)...
