  1. I figured it out - I have the totals working for the different statuses. BruceR - you are correct - I may outgrow this solution and have to learn to implement scripts to get the job done.
  2. I finally made it work - by changing the table that the dashboard read from - I point the dashboard layout to the project_db table. That is working now. If I may ask another question - is there a way to total all of the projects that have the status of "Invoice" or "Quote"? I would like to display the total dollar value of all Quotes, Invoices, etc. I have tried this, and it shows the value for ALL the projects. Thanks again for all your help.

  5. OlgerDiekstra - thank you for the reply, I have tried what you suggested, and the resulting field displays no information on the dashboard. Â I must be doing something wrong. Â I have attached an image showing the additions I made to the project_db. Â I am using the sumTotalQuotes as a field on the dashboard - this field won't display anything for me. Â What did I miss?

Hello everybody, I am trying to display some calculated fields on a dashboard that will get information from related tables.  I am having some difficulty in trying to get this to work properly.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.  I have attached an image of my table layout.  I have a field in one of my tables, project_db, that is called project_status. I have the following options for this field with the use of a value list:  Quote Awarded-Won Awarded-Lost Verbal Order Invoice  I would like to display, on my dashboard layout, the number of records that have "Quote", "Verbal", "Order", "Invoice, etc., selected.  Is there a way to do this?  I have looked around the forums, but have not had any luck in finding a solution that works for what I am trying to do.  Thanks in advance for any help.
  7. I have created a sales tracking database that keeps track of products sold while monitoring the performance of the various departments in our company. I am having trouble implementing some of the things that I want it to do. I have attached the file for you to look at - with notes in the application to explain what I am trying to do.   8. I have a value list where I have about 10 different options to choose from. For example, there might be SALE, RESET, DEMO, etc.... I would like to be able to display on a report page how many SALE, how many RESET and how many DEMO have occurred. Any ideas on how to accomplish this?

  11. I am fairly new to all of this, but I have a real good start on a FileMaker solution that I have designed to keep track of individual sales reps in our company. I am having a problem getting any reporting to work, mainly because I'm not sure how to do it. Here is the short of it - I have several value lists set up where I can select from a main screen which sales rep - what the product is - and the result of the sales call. I am trying to come up with a reporting page that will show me, based on each sales rep - different stats on them - but I have figured out that I need to be able to read into a value list for a search. I'm at a dead end with this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have uploaded my file for anyone that wants to help. Thanks. SalesTrax.zip
