  1. I'm having problems getting ScriptMaster 4.206 to load on FMS 13.0.2.295 running on Mac OS X 10.9.3. In FMS Admin -> Database Server -> Server Plug-ins, Scriptmaster is listed, but the "Plug-In Name" appears as "Not Loaded", "Enabled" checkbox is empty. Enabling the checkbox for ScriptMaster does not "take" -- after log-out and log-in to FMS Admin, it stays unchecked. Permissions for the ScriptMaster plug-in on the server are 0x750 fmserver/fmsadmin. "Java -version" reports: java version "1.7.0_17", "Java SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_17-b02)". I am confused about t
  2. Uploaded FMS_LogViewer.fmp12 to FMS 13.0.2.295 running on Mac OS X 10.9.3. When I attempt to log-in with user/userlog, I receive error: "Your access privileges to not allow you to perform this action." I can log-in to the tool when run locally, but I am instructed to run the tool on the server. Suggestions?
  3. Since FMS13 uses its own instance of apache web server, I found a way to get it running with Mac OS X Server: Caveat: experiment with a test installation of OS X Server/FMS13. Steps: 0) On an OS X Server machine, open a Terminal window and begin a super user session: sudo -s <password> 1) Stop the OS X Server apache instance: apachectl stop 2) Confirm that ports 80 and 443 are clear: lsof -i -P | grep "LISTEN" 3) Install and deploy FMS13, including WebDirect. 4) Patch the FMS13 apache files as follows: In /Library/FileMaker Server/HTTPServer/conf/httpd.conf: c
  4. What you lose by installing FMS 13 is OS X Server's Profile Manager, Wiki, and Websites. Gone with Profile Manager is also the mobile device management functionality. It is not odd that FileMaker, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Apple, sells a product that conflicts with Apple's, so that customers have to choose one or the other?
  5. FMS13/OS X Server conflict is a show-stopper for me. What we need (at minimum) is a way to configure the Filemaker web-direct ports so it can co-exist with other web servers on the same hardware.
  6. From: http://www.360works.com/scriptmaster/: From: http://static.360works.com/plugins/SCRIPTMASTERPLUGIN/documentation.html: What is the cost of an "Enterprise License" for ScriptMaster? How does one obtain such a license? Are demo versions of "enterprise" ScripMaster available for testing before purchase?
  7. No, really: how does one get just a "print" message to work from a ScriptMaster script? Would like to use it for debugging. Returning as a result is impractical. Can you be more specific about where FMP-Client ScriptMaster log messages appear (under what circumstances), and, specifically, how to redirect them to, say, a log file easily visible in the Console.app? TIA...
  8. In FMPA 12, when I attempt to open the 360Works AutoUpdater file: fmnet:/autoupdate.360works.com/AutoUpdate360Works I receive the error: Now what?
  9. Furthermore, I find that when using Filemaker 11 on either Windows or Mac systems, to revert the version of ScriptMaster being used, I have to look in: ~/Library/Application Support/Filemaker/Extensions (Mac OS X) C:Users<username>AppDataLocalFileMakerExtensions (Windows 7) Replacing Scriptmaster in /Applications/Filemaker Pro11/Extensions is not sufficient.
  10. ScriptMaster 4.13 is broken. To see for yourself, open ScriptMaster sample file, try to run "Access the FileMaker Calculation Engine Part 3". Result: java.lang.IllegalStateException: FileMaker called plugin on thread: Thread[AWT-AppKit,5,main]; but plugin is trying to call back to FileMaker on a different thread: Thread[AWT-EventQueue-0,6,main]. This is not allowed.
  11. Does the CNSAudit_StartupFile function ever report an error? If so, what does the error message look like?
  12. Is it possible to run CNSAudit_Init offline in a clone of a file and then import the resulting audit log records back into the main data file? In this way, I would reduce the impact of the processing on the users of the main data file.
  13. I'm trying to use the "Send Email" script in the ScriptMaster demo to send to a comma-separated list of To addresses. But I get an exception: javax.mail.internet.AddressException: illegal address in string "name@domain.com, name2@domain.com" How do I create an InternetAddress to multiple recipients in ScriptMaster? Thanks, Larry Goldman
  14. In my Data Separation Model, two-file FMP database, somehow the CNSAudit_RecordChange function is creating CNS Audit Log records with incorrect Table IDs. The Table _Name_ and Record IDs are OK, but the Table _ID_ refers to another TO entirely. I've tried deleting the CNS preferences and Rebuilding the data file. I tried setting up a test database to mimic the conditions of the main one, but the Table IDs are OK there. How do I force CNS_Audit to rebuild its internal list of Table ID? Thanks, Larry Goldman
  15. During development, I used Replace Field Contents 6x on 3000 records in my CNS_Audited database. Now, Audit is working diligently through its cache, taking a very long time to do so. When I cancel the "Processing Audit Cache" operation (at shutdown), it merely resumes on startup. How do I _clear_ the CNS_Audit cache to abort the processing? I figure I could delete it while FMP is closed. Where is it stored in the Mac OS X 10.6 file system? Thanks, Larry Goldman
