  1. Hi Everyone, I have a quick question about how to preserve carriage returns in FileMaker's XML Export. I have a XSLT sheet that converts the XML to a XLS file so I can natively open the file in Excel. The problem is that the carriage returns are not being well formed in the XML, so they are just being ignored. I have tries using calcs to export " " in the place of the CR, but that doesn't work either because the XSLT just reads it as data: It just reads it as DATA! Any help would be appreciated.

  3. Is there a simple way to simply open the file path in a finder window. I don't want the actual file to open, just take the user to the location in a new finder window.   4. One cool trick I was taught is instead of having to use a loop to set information from one table to another, which can get confusing, simply import records from one Table Occurence to another.   5. I did not change the WEP port during installation, should be default at port 80 correct? FYI, I have the ports all open. Where would I change the target URL for the FM test page? I do have FMP 9 ADV installed on the server machine as well as the FMS 9 ADV. Why would this hinder the web component from starting? Do you recommend uninstalling it?
  6. Hi everyone, I am also have an issue with the PHP Test files and Site Assistant. The Test IWP, Test PHP, and Test XSLT all are not functioning properly, saying that it FM encounters an error - "The requested resource (/:/192.168.1.38/fmi/iwp/cgi) is not available".   7. There are few ways that you can get away with this. One is to make a looping script that starts on the first records of your found set, either declared that message as a global variable or passes it as a parameter, performs a sub script that adds a related record in the log file with the global/param to the new records.   12. please take a look at the relationship graph and a few of the fields I adjusted, mainly the total fields next to the types and the grand total field at the bottom of the list. Because you had created a repeating field to store these values, the relational graph can get a little large. it might help if you type color and organize the graph a little better. but I started the first too, I think the rest you can handle. database.zip
  13. don't really understand the question. are you trying to see another value list of related costs from the selection you make?
  14. make sure that the field you have set to use the value list is a local field to that table, no a referenced field from the value list table. sounds like you are referencing the key field on your layout. did the example help?
  15. sorry about that, just edited the message and added the file. im not sure if this is the answer you were looking for. this method is relying on using a table as records (items) for the value list.
