  1. I am considering using DocuBin for an A/P document management system, but have a couple questions. Here is the way the workflow would proceed. The client receives an invoice ( this could be multiple pages ) and it would be scanned into a PDF file that would then be imported (drag and dropped) into DocuBin - perhaps to an Open Items folder. The invoice then has to be reviewed and approved for payment and then moved to an archive folder where it will permanently reside for future reference. My question is... are there some multi-page scanners that are better suited for this type

  3. We have a solution running in the office on FMSA. There will probably be many changes to the solution over the next few months and I'm just wondering what is the best way to handle a solution that is being modified often. Especially since we will be entering data into the db regularly. Do we close the solution on server, copy it off, modify it, then re-load it onto the server or is there an easier way? Such as, close it and modify on the server, then re-open?

  5. I have a categories table that is related to multiple detail tables. Each detail table contains multiple records based on the category selected.   8. About 5 years ago I wrote a desktop application that we use to do invoicing and maintain customer information. The program is written in Visual Foxpro. Unfortunately, Visual Foxpro doesn't have a web option, so we wrote a program in Alpha Five that handles the web part of this application. Alpha Five provides the back database for online ordering and customer maintenance.     How to do this?

    I have a DB with multiple tables that will store similar items, such as, Cars, Trucks, Vans, SUVs, etc. We'll calls this "Categories". I want to have a popup list that allows them to select the Category and then change the layout to suite that type of vehicle. I thought I could create a table called "Categories" and then a table for each type of vehicle.   10. I have a script that can process one of five fields. What I want to do is use a parameter to specify which field needs to be processed by passing a 1 to 5 and then storing the parameter to a local variable. Then I want to use the Replace Field Contents script step to replace the field specified to a 1 or 0.   11. I think I may have figured it out. I think you hold down the ALT key and press the return key. I was using the return on the numeric key pad and this was not working, but I just tried it with the return key on the main section of the keyboard and that worked. Is this the right thing to do?
  12. I have a text field that I am typing text into. There are probably 5 or 6 paragraphs of information. Every once in a while, when I hit the return key to add a new field, it thinks that I am done entering text. I do NOT have the enter or return key enable to advance to the next field. When I click back in the field to trying and add more text, every time I hit the return key it saves the text and will not allow me to add more text to it. Occasionally, I've been able to hold down the shift, ctrl, or command key and been able to enter a return and then enter more text, but now I'

  15. I need to create a solution that will be running on a computer (Mac) and I do not want the user to be able to exit the application. It's really a very simple solution. It's for customers to enter their emails in so that we can add them to our email notification list. It's a retail store. Pen and paper don't work because we can't read them way too often. So the solution will simply present a screen with one field on it "email" for them to type it in and click a "Save" button, which will present a "thank you" screen and then return to the "enter email screen".
