  1. Hi Support team, We have planned to host the 5GB filemaker file in the FileMaker Cloud for AWS. The Cloud backup will be taken for every 20 minutes. We don't need the backup for that 5GB for every 20 minutes. Is there anyway to select multiple files and to take the backup of the selected files only in the FileMaker Cloud for AWS? Please let me know. Thank you, Selvakumaran

(You will need to purchase your Mi
  4. Hi all, I have a idea to establish progressive backup on AWS S3 bucket. Client has a 3GB database (on aws machine) , and I we already use progressive backup in every 5 minutes. But, in case that main server crushes down, we have another, backup server, also AWS machine. Now, client wants that in trouble situation, save data as much as possible, and came up with this idea - progressive backup on AWS S3. Is this possible? Does anyone tried this? Thanks in advance, Ve

We are excited to announce a new major version of a popular 360Works plug-in, introducing Scribe 4! 360Works Scribe is the ultimate document automation plug-in for FileMaker; it allows integration with Word, Excel, and PDF documents. Additionally, we added features to allow you to merge PDFs and get meta-data from them, plus multiple
  7. Hello Everyone, We are planning to use FileMaker server 17 on AWS. And for client, thinking of using AppStream 2.0. I would like to know if there is any sort of issues using Appstream 2.0, means, performance issue or any limited functionality. Also would like to take your suggestions, instead of using Appstream 2.0, is there any other solution or way to connect filemaker apps hosted on AWS.. without installing filemaker client on user. machine. Thanks in advance.
  8. As you know, we get excited about adding innovation to the FileMaker platform. FileMaker is the world's leading Workplace Innovation Platform and at 360Works, we enjoy finding new ways to extend its capabilities. Today, we have part 2 of our content series on Machine Learning in FileMaker using Amazon Web Services (AWS). We are highlighting how to detect text and faces found within an image in this video. This can be useful for FileMaker databases that need to be able to identify objects and characteristics within an image file and report on the findings within the solution.
  9. We get excited about adding innovation to the FileMaker platform! Today we are showing you how to use machine learning in FileMaker to detect objects, scenes, and images. This can be useful for FileMaker databases that need to be able to identify objects and characteristics within an image file and report on the findings within the solution. Joe Martin, Senior Developer and Product Lead at 360Works, is demonstrating the process in the video below. He will be building off of AWS scripts from Jesse Barnum, President of 360Works, from his presentation at the 2018 FileMaker
  10. Most of us in the FileMaker Community are well aware of how to run FileMaker Server or FileMaker Cloud on Amazon Web Services (AWS), but we can do more! At 360Works, we believe in outside-the-box thinking to continually push the FileMaker platform to places it has not yet been. For this reason, Jesse Barnum, President of 360Works, spent time developing new and innovative ways to integrate the AWS multitude of services into FileMaker. At the 2018 FileMaker Developer Conference, he presented on how to interact directly with AWS Web Service APIs, signing AWS calls (a
  11. OK - we now have a working CloudMail solution that sends any number of emails with attachments (as URL links). I have two minor issues with it: 1/ Any images that we use on the HTML email (which are uploaded as attachment files, but not specific to each 'campaign') if we use as HREF links, don't work. If I check the message source the URL is there but it is prefixed and suffixed with a pile of coding which messes up the link. e.g. <a href=3D=E2=80=9Dhttp://momentumski.com/=E2=80=9D>. Any ideas what the E2=80=9D is all about? 2/ The attachment link, which is automat
  12. The 360Works FTPeek plugin uploads, downloads, and manipulates remote files on an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) server from within any FileMaker solution. FTPeek version 2.1 is now available with an added feature supporting uploads and downloads from Amazon S3! Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) runs on the AWS Cloud Infrastructure. It remains a highly-rated, industry-standard for data storage and retrieval, of any amount of data. As with most AWS services, S3 is versatile, reliable, and secure. 13. Hello Everyone, Can i check if Citrix can be used in AWS platform? I want to install FM Server 16 in AWS platform and want to access FileMaker applications through Citrix. Also, would like to understand the advantages and disadvantages of Citrix in AWS? Thanks in advance.
  14. Good afternoon everyone, Some BackStory: When FMCloud was first announced, I was ecstatic; I'm all for moving towards cloud technology for my agency. I was nearly there...about to pull the trigger and start a migration scheme from my current setup into the FMCloud, but then the one big caveat was found.. "Supports custom app authentication via FileMaker user accounts only" AKA no External Authentication. But that is fine, I understand it was released for small businesses which need the scalability of AWS, but this DOES NOT work for my agency. I spent half a year moving aw
  15. I'm unsure where exactly to post this so I'll try it here. If there's a better place please move this but it seems to be the correct category. I'm looking to setup hosting for a 15 member team who will be primarily accessing the database via WebDirect. However, I'd like to connect the solution to MySQL and open up parts of the database to 50 other users via Custom Web Publishing (php). I'd appreciate any feedback on hosting companies who can handle some or all of the following: licensing, WebDirect, Custom Web Publishing and ODBC. I looked into FileMaker Cloud but it doesn't seem to
  16. When deploying FileMakerCloud on AWS, the FMS script enige will have no access to localhost ports. Will this affect running SuperContainer on such a configuration ?
  17. I am trying to test Cloudmail once again after having endlessly been given the run around by AWS. I am finally up and running with AWS but now when I try an open Cloudmail, I get an endless spinning ball and "Filemaker not responding". On another copy of Cloudmail that does open, I have tried inserting into the settings the data that came from AWS named "credentials.csv". I put "Smtp Username" into the field "Amazon Access key" (I discovered that "Smtp Username" and "Amazon Access key" are identical according to my IAM user data), and I put "Smtp Password" into the field "Amazon secre
  18. Hello. As you can see on the video, the image upload on server (fmp14 sur Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Base with 64-bit architecture at Aws) is really longuer on Filemaker client (really longuer) than on Webdirect (browser). It's a problem... isn't it ? Thanks for your lights and explanations. André
