John Link posted a topic in FileMaker Pro 12I have FileMaker Pro 12 installed on four computers on my network, and FileMaker Pro Advanced 12 stored on a fifth computer. There is a shared database stored on one of the first four computers. When using the shared database from the fifth computer and I attempt to check any of the checkboxes for the field Events, I see the message shown in the attachment and I am unable to check the checkbox (This behavior occurs only on the fifth computer). If I then do a search, after doing the search I am able to check any of the checkboxes in the previously problematic field. I've restarted the fifth computer and the problematic behavior stills occurs. Any suggestions?
I'm in the process of importing data into FMP 6 using a .xls upload. I have no issues populating standard text fields. However, I cannot get checkboxes to populate on upload. I've matched up the fields to the column in the sheet and tried to use True in the field as well as the field name. Do you have any suggestions on how to populate check boxes on upload. Thanks!
NCB posted a topic in RelationshipsI have a table (table1) that is related to another table (table2) by its key. When a record is created in table1, a new record is created in table2. This is defined by their relationship. I want the new record in table2 to have some checkbox fields auto-populated.I have tried using the auto-fill option for the specified fields in the related table, but it is not working. The only thing that seems to work is a script with some "Set Field" calls to those fields, but I have only found an "onRecordCommit" script trigger to run this, and I need to to run as soon as the record is created. Is there a better way to do this? Thanks.
