  1. My client downloaded and installed the new 2.832 SuperContainer to deal with the Jave update issue. Unfortunately, they just double-clicked on the installer.jar file, which means they used installation option 2, installing SuperContainer into Apache Tomcat. We had been using SC with option 1, as a standalone server. I had the client open installer.jar and use its uninstall option. However, two problems remain. First, the images display in the web viewer at their original size, not sized to the web viewer. Second, when I access the database via Internet, the web viewer displays an error: HTTP Status 500 - type Exception report message description The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request. exception java.lang.NullPointerException com.prosc.supercontainer.web.JSPModel.getIconUrl(JSPModel.java:425) com.prosc.supercontainer.web.JSPModelFilter.doFilter(JSPModelFilter.java:96) com.prosc.supercontainer.web.ActionFilter.doFilter(ActionFilter.java:103) com.prosc.supercontainer.web.RegistrationFilter.doFilter(RegistrationFilter.java:82) com.prosc.supercontainer.LogFilter.doFilter(LogFilter.java:38) note The full stack trace of the root cause is available in the Apache Tomcat/5.0.28 logs. It seems we have not fully uninstalled option 2. What do we need to do to return our server to its original condition? Must I reinstall FileMaker Server? Or perhaps just change the Apache config file? Worst case scenario is a full reinstall of Apache, which would probably mean a full reinstall of the OS X. Thanks. Gary Sprung
  2. I'd like to create a webviewer that displays both an image(s) stored in SC and a text field(s) (this is an html email preview). Is this possible?
  3. I'm having great success with the PHP site assistant aside from one major issue. I'm not able to display images stored in Supercontainer. The code below will return a broken link. If I take the reference link and paste it into any web browser on any computer on any network, the link works fine. What obvious step am I missing? <td rowspan="8" class="field_data"> <?php echo "<img src='http://74.119.147.179:80/SuperContainer/Files/CKD_Files/PDT/2009/1035/90101463440377643/IMG_6944.jpg' title='Error' alt='Error' />";?> </td>
  4. Does anyone know what FMSError=no subscriber refers to when enabling the plug-in? Permission for the plug-in is correct. Thanks, Agi
  5. Hello, I have been browsing this forum and found a lot of good tips but still haven't found a solution to my problem after deploying SuperContainer on our networked server. We are running FileMaker Server 9 (not advanced). Installation via the installer.jar went fine; can access supercontainer via browser and tested uploading images to a custom file path to a volume on the server - this is the ideal location of the stored files - i modified the web.xml doc, and also added permissions on the volume/folder for fmsadmin group and fmserver user. Is there something else i should be doing here? In the FM layout, the url in the webviewer is set to "http://ourserverIP:80/Volume/Folder/SuperContainer/Files" In the webviewer status bar i always see "loading http...." and then it times out. If anyone can give me advice on what to try and what is missing or wrong in this setup i greatly appreciate it! i tested it locally on my laptop and it went perfect. Now before purchasing i want to test on our server and here come the logjams...
  6. Hello, I have installed supercontainer and it works well but when I try to upload a file I get this error "the specified action was denied by the server" in both, Filemaker Pro and IWP. My web container url is "http://localhost:80/SuperContainer/Files". Thanks. Jorge Marques
  7. We've got a client using IWP for a client area on their system - this is deployed using HTTPS. Unfortunately this has caused problems downloading files from container fields with IE (as normal, all* other browsers work properly). Could somebody confirm that switching to SuperContainer would solve our issues? Thanks, James. * Well, the other browsers in the top 5!
  8. Greetings- I finally got SC up and running in FM pro 11, and was able to use remote hosting to load the images i wanted from my main machine. When i went to my new machine, pulled up the FM database, the response i got from windows was that it was blocking SC from pulling into the webviewer, and the SC just had the image placeholder with the red X in the upper corner. I have looked at my firewall settings, and have allowed IE to have access through the firewall...am i missing something REALLY obvious? thanks in advance... Jesse
  9. greetings all! A question for the network security gurus: I have Supercontainer running in standalone mode. My router has port forwarding to the machine (Mac-mini). My credit card vendor requires security IP address scans and I am failing due to the port forwarding on the router. what is best practice? I am using a router flashed with Tomato Shibby.
  10. I recently changed premises and I notice that my supercontainer is being blocked because it doesn't have the necessary certificate any more. Not sure if it's becasue I updated Java recently or becasue I am with another Internet provider. I updated to the latest version of Supercontainer (2.89) but still no luck. Below is the log. Any help would be so grateful? Thanks so much in advance java.security.cert.CertificateRevokedException: Certificate has been revoked, reason: AFFILIATION_CHANGED, revocation date: Thu May 24 19:09:28 CEST 2012, authority: CN=Thawte Code Signing CA, O=Thawte Consulting (Pty) Ltd., C=ZA, extensions: {} at com.sun.deploy.security.RevocationChecker.checkOCSP(Unknown Source) at com.sun.deploy.security.RevocationChecker.check(Unknown Source) at com.sun.deploy.security.TrustDecider.checkRevocationStatus(Unknown Source) at com.sun.deploy.security.TrustDecider.getValidationState(Unknown Source) at com.sun.deploy.security.TrustDecider.validateChain(Unknown Source) at com.sun.deploy.security.TrustDecider.isAllPermissionGranted(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2ClassLoader.isTrustedByTrustDecider(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2ClassLoader.getTrustedCodeSources(Unknown Source) at com.sun.deploy.security.CPCallbackHandler$ParentCallback.strategy(Unknown Source) at com.sun.deploy.security.CPCallbackHandler$ParentCallback.openClassPathElement(Unknown Source) at com.sun.deploy.security.DeployURLClassPath$JarLoader.getJarFile(Unknown Source) at com.sun.deploy.security.DeployURLClassPath$JarLoader.access$1000(Unknown Source) at com.sun.deploy.security.DeployURLClassPath$JarLoader$1.run(Unknown Source) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at com.sun.deploy.security.DeployURLClassPath$JarLoader.ensureOpen(Unknown Source) at com.sun.deploy.security.DeployURLClassPath$JarLoader.<init>(Unknown Source) at com.sun.deploy.security.DeployURLClassPath$3.run(Unknown Source) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at com.sun.deploy.security.DeployURLClassPath.getLoader(Unknown Source) at com.sun.deploy.security.DeployURLClassPath.getLoader(Unknown Source) at com.sun.deploy.security.DeployURLClassPath.getResource(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2ClassLoader$2.run(Unknown Source) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2ClassLoader.findClassHelper(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Applet2ClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2ClassLoader.loadClass0(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2ClassLoader.loadClass0(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2ClassLoader.loadCode(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2Manager.initAppletAdapter(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2Manager$AppletExecutionRunnable.run(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) Using JRE version 1.7.0_25-b17 Java HotSpot Client VM User home directory = C:Userslippy ---------------------------------------------------- c: clear console window f: finalize objects on finalization queue g: garbage collect h: display this help message l: dump classloader list m: print memory usage o: trigger logging q: hide console r: reload policy configuration s: dump system and deployment properties t: dump thread list v: dump thread stack x: clear classloader cache 0-5: set trace level to <n> ---------------------------------------------------- Missing Permissions manifest attribute for: http://192.168.1.175:8020/SuperContainer/sc_applet.jar Missing Codebase manifest attribute for: http://192.168.1.175:8020/SuperContainer/sc_applet.jar Missing Permissions manifest attribute for: http://192.168.1.175:8020/SuperContainer/sc_applet.jar Missing Codebase manifest attribute for: http://192.168.1.175:8020/SuperContainer/sc_applet.jar
  11. Hi, I get the following message in Filemaker. FMP is running on Windows Server 2008 Terminal Service. And I also always getting this Can someone help me here?
  12. Good day, I have a FileMaker solution that utilizes SuperContainer to hold attachments that are linked to specific jobs. When we first implemented SC, we attached the items to the job rather than the customer, and have since realized that attaching them to the customer is the better way to handle it. For example, attachments are now held in a folder "/job/type_of_attachment/job_number/attachment_id/filename.pdf" I'd like to move those files so that they're held by customer (in a different table). So I'd like the file path to change to "customer/customer_number/type of attachment/attachment_id/filename.pdf" Really all that's changing is the path name. Jobs and Customers share a relationship via the Customer Number, so I was able to write a script that wrote the customer number to a variable, and then ran SCMove, replacing the old path with the new. The problem is that while the script indicates that SCMove was successful, the file has not moved. It remains in its original location. Am I not understanding how SCMove is intended to be used? Does anyone know a better way to do this? Your help is greatly appreciated. Best, Shane Grimsley
  13. Hello, Experiencing a strange behavior. We had to emergency switch our SuperContainer Server. Everything seems to be working as expected except the function SCSetBaseURL is sending back an Error message for one person. OS: Mountain Lion FM Version: 10 We installed the latest version of SuperContainer. It is successfully serving (and transforming) our images. It is also uploading fine through the browser. When I used our FM database I received an error notifying me that SCSetBaseURL was sending back an error code. After review I noticed that my FM 10 had the plugin in the extensions folder but my FM 10 Advanced did not. I downloaded and placed the plugin into my FM 10 Advanced Extensions directory and it worked fine. I can successfully upload images through FM. My coworker is getting the same message. I installed the plugin from the exact same version of FM that we're using and it's still failing I verified that Java was installed and working on his machine. Reviewed file permissions, that the plugin was loaded and recognized by FM. Does anyone have any suggestions or help on how I can determine why the SuperContainer plugin isn't setting the Base URL for my coworker but it does me? Thanks, Travis
  14. I was wondering if anyone had given this a go I am trying to get the data from the file via running the script on the server. I have installed the plugin on the server and using remotescriptor plugin. does not seem to work with these. Am I barking up the wrong tree it would be very helpful if this could be done Just want to get a value and set it to a Variable then set that to a field on the server side.
  15. Position Title: Database developer Description of Duties: The Hawaii Association for Marine Education and Research (HAMER) is looking for a relational database developer with knowledge integrating Filemaker Pro Advanced, SuperContainers, and hosting the database on FM Server Advanced. Manta rays are some of the largest fish in the sea, reaching wingspans over 22 feet. Island-associated populations are small and can be severely threatened by fisheries targeting manta rays for export to East Asia. This work is to better understand these populations and implement sustainable, management practices to insure the protection of these extremely vulnerable manta ray populations. The database will consist of a catalog of manta ray individuals (each manta ray has a unique pattern of spots on their ventral side) with related information such as when and where the manta was observed; physical characteristics such as gender, age class, body size, mating scars, pregnancy, and injuries; which other manta rays were also present during that observation; geospatial tracks of tagged individuals; and genetic information for biopsied individuals. The majority of the field-work will occur in Hawaii (Maui and Big Island), Palmyra, Guam, Yap, and Pohnpei. The catalog would also show the history of sightings for that individual (number of sightings, growth rate, number of times observed pregnant, photo from each previous encounter) and a map displaying the location of each sighting for that individual. The database should be designed for both scientists (ability to incorporate large amounts of information, perform calculations such as growth rates and discovery curves) but would also accommodate the average user who simply wishes to upload their photo(s) to the catalog with a time and place (using a simple web browser and a drag and drop SuperContainer). Interns would be responsible each day for going through the “bucket” of new photographs and matching these new images to the current catalog showing the best image of each individual. If a match is found, the individual is added as a resight, or if a match is not found, a new manta ray is added to the catalog. All users should have the ability to search the catalog if they so choose. The majority of this database has already been created but needs to be greatly refined and incorporated to use SuperContainer and published with Filemaker Server. The goal is to allow any user to contribute to the database or process new data remotely needing only the internet and a web browser. Compensation for the developer can be in the form of assisting with field-work in Hawaii, Guam, and/or Micronesia (diving with manta rays), or financial by incorporating labor costs into the grant application. HAMER is a 501 (c ) 3 nonprofit dedicated to protecting and preserving manta ray populations through research and education in order to implement effective management practices. Location: Hawaii Deadline: Immediately Position: Part Time / Consultants can apply Employment: OffSite (Remote) Skills Required: FM Pro relational database developer Basic mapping integration SuperContainers and Filemaker Server Advanced hosting combined Compensation: Negotiable Contact Details: For questions regarding this project, please email Mark at deakos@hawaii.edu or call 808-280-6448. Disclaimer: FM Forums does not endorse or warrantee these positions please contact the poster for further information regarding the position particulars.
  16. Hello, I installed supercontainer on my Windows server at aws Amazon. I also installed the companion plug-in. It shows up on Filemaker Pro no problem. But it doesn't show on webdirect. Any idea? Here is my configuration: - FMS 15, Windows 2016 server. - SuperContainer 2.94, build 9234. - I have the companion plugin put inside "..\FileMaker Server\Web Publishing\publishing-engine\cwpc\Plugins". - The plug-in I use is "SuperContainer_Companion_Plugin.fmx64". Thanks. P.S.: I will send an email to 360works. But just want to post it here so we can all share the solution. Thanks.
  17. So I am somewhat new to SuperContainer and to designing layouts in FileMaker. I have a database for a film I am working on and in the database is a record for every clip we have in the movie. We also have an image that matches the data for every clip that is in the movie. What I would like to do is be able to batch import all of the photos (using the batch import option in the Super Container Sample) and link all of the files from that batch import to the web viewers I have setup in my film database. I have toyed around with the address in web viewer, however since every record is a different filename I am getting confused how to link it to the batched photos I brought in with SuperContainer. Is there an easy way to do this, so if I create new records in my film database and then subsequently batch import their matching photos, things will automatically link up? I want to be able to use SuperContainer to speed up my database. I am excited at the prospect of this product, just don't really understand how it works yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  18. Hi to everyone and hope you can help a newbie out. I am fairly new to filemaker and filemaker go, but having recently got a ipad and subscribed to the free super container from 360works. I upload or drag and drop the document into the container. As FM go does not have a file system I presume I need to drag and drop the document and would be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction. Regards to all
  19. We are using FileMaker Sever 11 and SuperContainer. Will SuperContainer be Java 7 compatible?
  20. This happens when the step is called in a filemaker script triggered through the xml api. It seems like any SC function will return the question mark. Weird thing is that the same script run via a fm console script schedule returns the version just fine. Both are running under the same filemaker user account. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I'm also getting this SC error output: 11 Oct 28, 2011 2:32:09 PM com.prosc.supercontainer.LogFilter doFilter 12 SEVERE: An error occurred while handling request /SuperContainer/Files/ in thread TP-Processor3 13 java.lang.NullPointerException 14 at com.prosc.supercontainer.web.KitchenSink.doGet(KitchenSink.java:59) 15 at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:627) 16 at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:729) 17 at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.internalDoFilter(ApplicationFilterChain.java:269) 18 at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.doFilter(ApplicationFilterChain.java:188) 19 at com.prosc.supercontainer.web.JSPModelFilter.doFilter(JSPModelFilter.java:140) 20 at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.internalDoFilter(ApplicationFilterChain.java:215) 21 at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.doFilter(ApplicationFilterChain.java:188) 22 at com.prosc.supercontainer.web.ActionFilter.doFilter(ActionFilter.java:92) 23 at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.internalDoFilter(ApplicationFilterChain.java:215) 24 at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.doFilter(ApplicationFilterChain.java:188) 25 at com.prosc.supercontainer.web.RegistrationFilter.doFilter(RegistrationFilter.java:82) 26 at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.internalDoFilter(ApplicationFilterChain.java:215) 27 at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.doFilter(ApplicationFilterChain.java:188) 28 at com.prosc.supercontainer.LogFilter.doFilter(LogFilter.java:38) 29 at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.internalDoFilter(ApplicationFilterChain.java:215) 30 at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.doFilter(ApplicationFilterChain.java:188) 31 at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardWrapperValve.invoke(StandardWrapperValve.java:213) 32 at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContextValve.invoke(StandardContextValve.java:172) 33 at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardHostValve.invoke(StandardHostValve.java:127) 34 at com.filemaker.tomcat.FMErrorReportValve.invoke(Unknown Source) 35 at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardEngineValve.invoke(StandardEngineValve.java:108) 36 at org.apache.catalina.connector.CoyoteAdapter.service(CoyoteAdapter.java:174) 37 at org.apache.jk.server.JkCoyoteHandler.invoke(JkCoyoteHandler.java:200) 38 at org.apache.jk.common.HandlerRequest.invoke(HandlerRequest.java:291) 39 at org.apache.jk.common.ChannelSocket.invoke(ChannelSocket.java:775) 40 at org.apache.jk.common.ChannelSocket.processConnection(ChannelSocket.java:704) 41 at org.apache.jk.common.ChannelSocket$SocketConnection.runIt(ChannelSocket.java:897) 42 at org.apache.tomcat.util.threads.ThreadPool$ControlRunnable.run(ThreadPool.java:689) 43 at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:680) -- Thanks everyone.
  21. Hi there, Have just installed Supercontainer and very excited to get it working. I have a few questions that I just haven't found the answers to in the documenation or in the forums; 1. Although the Java server stipulates the IP to be my actual computer name; 01/02/12 09:29:19 - SuperContainer URL: http://Maria-HP:8020/SuperContainer I replaced the computer name with the local IP of my computer. Is that correct? 2. Within my local network, SC works fine, but it doesn't work from outside the Wide Area Network. Do I need to open the port 8020 on my router for it to work? 3. I am publishing my database on port 591, should I change the SC port to also be 591 or do I have to leave it on 8020? 4. I see that it is possible to drop several files into one SC as mentioned in the documenation; Note that the SuperContainer URL can contain as many elements as you like. If a given asset can have 3 images uploaded to it, you could either create a new table for holding the images, or use the following URL schema: "http://yourServer.com:8020/SuperContainer/Files/Asset/" & myTable::ID & "/1" "http://yourServer.com:8020/SuperContainer/Files/Asset/" & myTable::ID & "/2" "http://yourServer.com:8020/SuperContainer/Files/Asset/" & myTable::ID & "/3" But when I replicate this kind of web address into the SC I am required to put a '&' between each line? Sorry about my ignornace, I just don't really understand how to do this? 5. Regarding the styles, if I have a web address that looks like this "http://192.168.1.33:8020/SuperContainer/Files/GuidedSpeakingGame" & Lesson Plans::Lesson No#?style=bold+nodelete it looks for the field or file 'Lesson No#?style' which obvioiusly doesn't work. How exactly do I write the styles in order to customize them? Apologies about my newbie SC questions, but I feel I am so close to getting it up and running, just a little help needed. Thank you so much in advance, Maria
  22. I have an inherited solution where I am working with a View Document script.  The script uses Open URL with the following URL:  file:///var/folders/bh/5s1s45p92r3c0gjjhmtzdzgr0000gn/T/supercontainer_downloads_darrenburgess/PDoc/8142/filename=%22test.jpg%22  This URL is generated by the SCDownload function in a previous step and does not return ERROR.  The URL does appear to be a valid path on the local machine, and there is file named 'filename="Test.jpg" ' in that location and this file appears to be a valid JPG file, although it lacks an extension.  See attached screen shot of the script steps in question.  Please advise regarding how to resolve this issue.
  23. I have successfully implemented SuperContainer on a few projects. I am now working on one where I'll actually use iterations. In doing so, I created little Image Nav buttons under the web viewer, to browse through the existing images. So if there are three images, it says, "Image 1 of 4". As such, I need to manage the "iterations" when a file gets deleted. Say I am on Image 2 of 4. When the user clicks delete, it deletes the image, and I am left with iterations 1, 3, and 4. For my nav to work, I need to renumber them. To do this, I loop through each and basically say: Set Variable [$iteration.new = $iteration.current] Set Variable [$iteration.old = $iteration.new + 1] SCMove ( $path & "/" & $iteration.old; $path & "/" & $iteration.new; "filename=" & filename.new) (note, filename.new is reconstructed with the new iteration number prior to those steps) So I successfully loop through and repeat this until I'm on the last iteration. Works great. They each get moved within the Files structure. Image 2 is deleted, Image 3 becomes Image 2; Image 4 becomes Image 3. However, they are NOT being moved and deleted properly in the Thumbnails structure. My web viewer must be using the thumbnails, as it shows the same one for images 2 and 3. However when I click on Image 3, it opens the correct one (different than what is being displayed in the web viewer). I opened the folders in Finder and could see that the folder structures do not match. Thumbnails shows Image 1 (correct), Image 2 (correct), Image 3 (incorrect - same as Image 2), and Image 4 (should now be Image 3). Any ideas?
  24. Hi there, Just purchased myself supercontainer and very excited to get using it. I notice that in the IWP supercontainer, the upload and browse buttons are not aligned as if they are pushing each other onto the next line (see .jpg attachment). What am I doing wrong? How do I get rid of the engraved/embossed look (the black strips on the left and top) and is there any way to get rid of the vertical and horizontal scroll bars? Clients are only going to upload .pdf's, so the webviewer is going to be small. Ultimatelly, I am going to have to play around with the companion to reduce the size of the upload and browse buttons. Thanks so much for all your kind advice, Maria Sorry, my previous post sat processing so I posted it again, only to later see that my original post did actually get posted. How do I delete this second post? Thanks so much
  25. Wondering what the status of SuperContainer and DocuBin are for use with FileMaker 14? Been trying to get them configured on my dev FMS14 machine without a lot of luck yet.
