  1. Has anyone had the following issue and might have a quick fix. I migrated client files from FM Server 13 residing on Mac Server to FM Server 14 residing on Windows Server. All went very well except one thing, which i would be grateful if someone could help me on. PREVIOUS STATE - The client had his files hosted on OX platform and with FileMaker 13 Server. - There is a container field in the records that would contain pdf files, these are 1 or more pages document files. - When the user dragged the file into the container field it would display as page thumbnail BOTH on Mac and Windows. AFTER THE MIGRATION TO WINDOWS SERVER - files still display thumbnails when dragged on MAC - the files are displaying FILE ICON when dragged into the container on WINDOWS. Tech boards are suggesting that Windows can not insert the file as picture into the FM container field, but there it happened before. Does anyone have any isight on this behaviour, is it documented anywhere? Thank you

  3. Upgrading a client from FM11 to FM13. When we setup the new server, we copied over the original high res images, but not the thumbnails. As expected, SuperContainer is generating the needed thumbnails, however they are low quality and have vertical lines through the images (see attached). Â Here are the New server specs: FileMaker Server 13 SuperContainer 2.896 Java update 51 Windows Server 2012 R2 Â The troubleshooting steps we have completed: - uninstalling/reinstalling Java - downgrading Java to 7 update 25 - replaced SuperContainer 2.896 with 2.89 (with update 25) Â The suggested solution from 360Works was to downgrade to Java 6 (unfortunately FM13 requires 7) or update the resolution of the web viewers and unstored calcs. We tried to set the resolution to 150 & 300, however it works only if the image is being dimensions are increased but not if the image dimensions are reduced. It seems to be more of a resizing issue instead of a resolution issue. The updating of 100 different places the images appear would only work on some images and not for all because we don't have a single image orientation or size. Â I've seen other questions similar to this and they remained unresolved. Anyone have any ideas? Â Thanks for your help.
  4. PDF Thumbnails not Generating

In a script, I select a container field, choose "Insert Picture" choose a scanned PDF file then GetThumbnail(MainContainer;50;50) - it just leaves a "?" in the thumbnail field. When I import a batch using the Import Records Script Step -> Folder -> Picture and Movie Files, using Secure Storage, choose the option to add a thumbnail to my thumbnail container field, (importing the same pdf file) it generates the thumbnail perfectly. For user interface reasons, my users need to be able to click my import button, choose a pdf file from anywhere on their drive, and import it into a container field, generating a thumbnail in another container field. Any ideas on how to get this thumbnail? Any help would be greatly appreciated. :-)
  5. I have successfully implemented SuperContainer on a few projects. I am now working on one where I'll actually use iterations. In doing so, I created little Image Nav buttons under the web viewer, to browse through the existing images. So if there are three images, it says, "Image 1 of 4". As such, I need to manage the "iterations" when a file gets deleted. Say I am on Image 2 of 4. When the user clicks delete, it deletes the image, and I am left with iterations 1, 3, and 4. For my nav to work, I need to renumber them. To do this, I loop through each and basically say: Set Variable [$iteration.new = $iteration.current] Set Variable [$iteration.old = $iteration.new + 1] SCMove ( $path & "/" & $iteration.old; $path & "/" & $iteration.new; "filename=" & filename.new) (note, filename.new is reconstructed with the new iteration number prior to those steps) So I successfully loop through and repeat this until I'm on the last iteration. Works great. They each get moved within the Files structure. Image 2 is deleted, Image 3 becomes Image 2; Image 4 becomes Image 3. However, they are NOT being moved and deleted properly in the Thumbnails structure. My web viewer must be using the thumbnails, as it shows the same one for images 2 and 3. However when I click on Image 3, it opens the correct one (different than what is being displayed in the web viewer). I opened the folders in Finder and could see that the folder structures do not match. Thumbnails shows Image 1 (correct), Image 2 (correct), Image 3 (incorrect - same as Image 2), and Image 4 (should now be Image 3). Any ideas?
