  1. On windows 8 the command EmailSend returns the error: Invalid Addresses The very same database-, record- and script-combination works just fine on windows 7, so it must be a problem with Windows 8 I am using FMP(A) 12v4 with JRE 1.7v25 and Email-plugin version 1.972 on Windows 8 professional. I've tried this in 2 different network where there are an exchange-smtp-server and a postfix-smtp-server. Using any of these servers result in the same: it works on Windows 7, but not Windows 8 I allready had contact with support about this issue and I thought it was solved, but it seemed to have worked only once and now I get the invalid addresses error again. For now my customer only uses Windows 7, so there's no pressure yet, but I am running Windows 8 and must assume the code I write just works cq have to fire up an old windows 7 pc to check if it works, before I deploy my solution to the customer.
  2. I downloaded Filemaker Pro 13 and Filemaker 13 Server trial versions running on Windows 8. I have an app I developed in FM 12 that I want to host on FM server 13 using WebDirect. The server install on Windows 8 went well but I get an "Registration with directory service failed" error message when I test the directy service settings. I have the following questions with regard to this installation: Do I have to install Active Directory on Windows 8? Which IP address do I use to set in the Entry Point: The Filemaker Server, Web Server or the Web Publishing Engine IP address? Any help is greatly appreciated.
  3. Hi everyone First of all thank you very much to all members of FMForums that allow valuable help solve problems and increase our knowledge base about Filemaker Pro Well, I have installed Filemaker Server 12 Advanced (V 12.04.405) on my computer running Windows 8 Pro (8GB Ram, AMD Phenom X4) and XAMMP (Apache, MySQL, PHP, etc..), Is that in another post said that not supported, but it works for me well, you just have to ignore the error message to install and works. I have read on the internet that you could tell FMSERVER work with Apache instead of IIS, making some changes to the Apache configuration file (httpd.conf), such as: # Add FileMaker Web Publishing # Include "C :/ Program Files / FileMaker / FileMaker Server / Web Publishing / webconfiguration / WEB-INF / conf / mod_jk.conf" This second lei works for earlier versions of FMSERVER but not for 12. Could someone tell me how I can resolve this?, Thanks for your valuable help.
  4. Hi Guys, I am having some issues related to FM Pro crashing. One of the client who is on windows 8.1 the FM Pro 14v5 crashes unexpectedly almost everyday. They access the Filemaker files that are hosted in a Filemaker 14v4 Server hosted in Windows 2008 R2 system. This issue is happening on the windows system only. The client has 2 windows workstation and one workstation using a iMac. The Filemaker crash is happening only on the windows system. The iMac has never crashed. We tried increasing the RAM in server and the windows workstation systems, but it didn't help. On checking the windows event log found this: Faulting application name: FileMaker Pro.exe, version: 14.0.5.505, time stamp: 0x56a2e6d5 Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 6.3.9600.18264, time stamp: 0x56e1b34d Exception code: 0xc06d007e Fault offset: 0x00015b68 Faulting process id: 0x2bb8 Faulting application start time: 0x01d1a6dffb4b4c7a Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\FileMaker\FileMaker Pro 14\FileMaker Pro.exe Faulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\KERNELBASE.dll Report Id: 8754507d-12ff-11e6-bebd-485ab683c708 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: Is this something related to the issue in the application hosted ? Or is it a issue in the windows workstation system ? Any advise or suggestion will be a great help. smile emoticon Thanks in advance. Note: Already tried reinstalling the FMPro in the windows system
  5. I have a client that just moved from FM 9 to FM 13. This is a school that has many teachers that used the database via IWP, so now they're using WebDirect. FM 13 is new for me, and I'm not a Windows person. So far, I haven't done any modifications of the layouts that were used via IWP. Other than the error below, everything seems to be working. I've just gotten reports that users are unable to copy text in Word and paste it into a database text field, if they use the 'control-v' keyboard command. They are running Windows 8, and a variety of browsers (Explorer, Chrome, Firefox). I had them try it via the browser 'edit' menu, and they were successful. I have Windows 7 on a virtual machine on my mac, and the keyboard shortcuts work for me. Does anyone have any idea what might be happening here? I've searched, and haven't found anything related to this on the internets. Many thanks in advance!
