Reviews and feedback of different hosting options?

I'm unsure where exactly to post this so I'll try it here. If there's a better place please move this but it seems to be the correct category.

I'm looking to setup hosting for a 15 member team who will be primarily accessing the database via WebDirect. However, I'd like to connect the solution to MySQL and open up parts of the database to 50 other users via Custom Web Publishing (php).

I'd appreciate any feedback on hosting companies who can handle some or all of the following: licensing, WebDirect, Custom Web Publishing and ODBC. I looked into FileMaker Cloud but it doesn't seem to be able to handle CWP. Someone mentioned today that you can go with AWS apart from Cloud and I'd love to hear feedback on that as well. Anything you guys can share on good and less than desirable solutions would be most appreciated.

      I'm seeing a "FileMaker Script Engine process has terminated abnormally" error when I attempt to register modules on Filemaker Cloud 1.17 using Scriptmaster 5.1 Unfortunately, the database stops responding when it encounters this error, forcing me to close the database. I noticed a similar issue on the forum related to Filemaker Server 17 that was fixed in 5.1. Could there still be an issue for Filemaker Cloud 1.17?
      EDIT: 5.09 works, as mentioned in my post below. I suggest that people use Scriptmaster 5.09 on Filemaker Cloud until this is fixed.
      EDIT 2: There is potential to corrupt data if we attempt to close the database when it is not responding after attempting to register a module with Scriptmaster 5.1. It takes a while before Filemaker will close the database, and it warned me of possible corruption when I re-opened it and attempted to register another module. In testing, I wasn't able to replicate the issue after I sent a disconnect request for the Client thread running the module registration step and turned off Script Engine plugins until I saw the thread had been disconnected. I was able to install 5.09 afterward and confirm that scriptmaster was working once installed.

      We have a couple of servers running on AWS. As of the middle of last week we suddenly are having connection problems. The server logs mostly lists error 10, sometimes error 51. These customers have poor internet connection, so we have set up a server and a client in the cloud. The users connects to the client through an RDP session. It is a Windows enviroment with one customer using Windows server 12 and FMS 14, the other Windows server 16 and FMS15. We use a seperate AD server to control the RDP access and accounts to the FMP server, clients have no acces to the FMS server.
      I have read previous posts on this issue. I do not think there can be any hardware issue, since the server is hosted with Amazon and both server and client are on an internal network. To be sure I have filed a support request with Amazon as well.
      The strange thing is that the error message sometimes occurs within a minute and then FMP freezes on the user while they are still working in the FM app. It is my understanding that error 10 occurs if the client does not respond to the server ping for 2 pings, so time out for this error should be 125 seconds. 
       

       
      These servers have been running without this issue for a long time now. Any idea why this has suddenly changed and why the error message errors while tghe users is using the FM app?
