This vertical market solution was designed for the marine assistance industry and operates as a virtual command center to manage vessel assistance orders. VSS version 2.4.0.1 now features compatibility with QuickBooks Online via the FM Books Connector Online Edition plug-in. 

What is VSS?

VSS utilizes FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Go to allow BoatU.S. captains to fully digitalize the tow order process from beginning to end. As soon as distress calls are received, any employee has the ability to send mobile orders from the office or an iOS device to themselves or other in-field captains. The captain receives the order on an iPad and, after assisting the boater, updates and submits the order back to dispatch for final processing.

VSS QuickBooks Functionality

VSS is designed to connect with a client's QuickBooks Desktop or Online file. The solution pulls a list of items from QuickBooks that captains can use to fill out orders for services rendered. Once reviewed, cases can be pushed to a client's QuickBooks file as invoices either one at a time or in batches. When payments are applied in QuickBooks, information about remaining balances and paid on dates can be pulled into VSS. The solution includes list views and visual icons to indicate a case's status in QuickBooks Desktop or Online.
