Scribe and Textarea PDF Fields

I am trying to fill PDF fields using the ScribeDocWriteValue command in my FileMaker app.  It works for all but one of approx. 50 fields.  The one field that I can't get it to work with is a textarea style PDF field instead of an input style PDF field.  Does ScribeDocWriteValue work with textarea style PDF fields? If yes, what's the trick?  If not, is there another alternative approach?

I've tried setting the ScribeDocWriteValue value to a field value before issuing the ScribeDocWriteValue command.

I've tried setting the ScribeDocWriteValue value to a variable value before issuing the ScribeDocWriteValue command.

I've tried setting the ScribeDocWriteValue value to a constant value before issuing the ScribeDocWriteValue command.

I even tried it in the How to Use Scribe demo's "Write to Field" tab function.

No luck, but there's no "Unknown field name" message either.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
