I'm sure this question has been answered many times, so I apologize in advance for being redundant but I can't find an answer that fits my situation.

Anyway, we have a database that keeps track of the inserts that come to our newspaper. What I want to have happen is when a new insert is logged in, the database automatically sends an email to the appropriate sales rep alerting them that the insert has arrived.

Any ideas?
