Can't auto-update mult-file solutions

Hello,

I am experiencing an issue using auto-update on my multi-file solution. Someone else had this same error here. The are 3 files in the solution  and it is designed for the user to have 2 of the files open at the same time. During the auto-update, the main file closes but the assisting file remains open and the error "<assistingFile.fmp12> could not be created on this disk. Use a different name, make more room on the disk, unlock it or use a different disk" is thrown when trying to install the update. 

Any tips on how to handle this? Thanks!
