Hello, I have a database that is used through browsers using fm 5.5, the question I would like to ask is when I go to search in web view in the TYPE option box is there any way of making it go straight to contains instead of being begins with? the second question is after the search is there a way of being able to just hit enter instead of clicking on the search button?

2 silly questions I know but my boss has asked me to find them out.

First, FM web questions are better queried in one of the Internet Forums. Your question about "begins with" is probably best asked in the cdml forum since "begins with" is an operator (-op).

However, from the structure of your question it appears that you are using IWP. IWP is wysiwyg. IWP writes the html/cdml for you and you have no real direct control over it. You cannot edit it. The greatest control is that which you can exercise vis-a-vis different layouts. The rest you must take as it comes. You adapt to the application, the application does not adapt to you.

The majority of those who get into browser solutions use CWP because of the flexibility of solution design.
