I have been a band director for almost 25 years. I live in Boca Raton,
FL. I have a Master's degree and am very tech-savvy. Through the
years, I have had to create ways to keep an inventory of students,
instruments, parents, emails, etc. You name it, I've had to be able to
recall information quickly. Early in my career, I was introduced to
FileMaker Pro by a school IT staff member. From that point on, I
dabbled and read every FileMaker Pro book there was to get the
knowledge I needed to create my own solution and keep up with the
trends that FileMaker provided. I spent hours and hours watching
FileMaker Pro youtube tutorials and programs. After over 20 years of
developing using Filemaker, I feel as if I am a solid intermediate user.
The reason I am posting is that I have had more enjoyment,
excitement, and creativity developing that I have decided to change my
career. I know I do not have the degree but I have a very strong drive
to succeed in this endeavor. I have a family, and
going back to school is not a viable option. Ultimately, I was hoping to get a brief
meeting with an interested firm regarding possible employment as I am HUNGRY to
start my new career fairly quickly. Please let me know what you think. I
look forward to hearing from you soon.
