10.2 Jaguar bug? not "keeping" page setup script

has anyone else run into this issue?

even if, on the 10.2 client machine, I choose page setup, choose say landscape, then go to the script and "replace" the page setup step to freeze the preference, when the script is run again the preference is lost...

works fine in OSX 10.1.5 and earlier, and on classic Macs
