I run FM5 server on a mac in my office. A remote office with a Windows 2000 network accesses the database from their mixed OS computers.

Two of the computers can see the database via remote hosts, and two cannot.

The Windows 2000 Pro computer cannot see it.

The Windows 98 computer can see it

Mac OS 9 computer can see it.

A fourth computer (Win 98) can no longer see the database after drive was reformatted and Win98 reinstalled.

The Win2000 computer can see a local database hosted on the Macintosh. I am stumped.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I solved my problem by turning off UDP protocal! Go figure.

My LinkSys router was set to both TCP/IP and UDP protocal for port 5003. When I switched port 5003 on the Router to just TCP/IP protocal it suddenly worked for the Win2000 Pro computer.

Why would support for both protocals mess up Win2000 Pro using TCP/IP? Ugh!
