Troi releases Troi Text Plug-in 7.0 for Claris FileMaker 2026

Text manipulation plug-in is compatible with Claris FileMaker Pro 26 and improves returning the text content of the clipboard.

Lienden, the Netherlands, June 9, 2026–Troi today announced the immediate availability of Troi Text Plug-in 7.0 for FileMaker Pro 19 to 26.

What is Troi Text Plug-in?

Troi Text Plug-in is a very powerful tool for dealing efficiently with text in your FileMaker Pro database. All from within FileMaker you can:

• Customize spell checking

• Quickly copy FileMaker scripts or script steps

• Parse XML text into fields

• Get (unique) lines and sort words and lines

• Combine sets from 2 text fields:

  • get all lines that are the same

  • get all lines that differ

  • and other combinations

What is new in version 7.0?

We updated Troi Text Plug-in for FileMaker 26 (2026) and made the following changes and improvements:
Improved compatibility

• Tested and made compatible with Claris FileMaker Pro 2026 (FileMaker Pro 26).

• Improved compatibility with Claris FileMaker Pro 2025 (FileMaker Pro 22.0.6).

• Tested and made compatible with macOS 26 (Tahoe).

• Tested and made compatible with Windows 11, including Windows 11 version 25H2 (September 30, 2025).

Other improvements and changes

• Improved the handling of large text, with length of over 100.000 characters.

• Improved the TrText_GetClipboardAsText function. This function now can return plain text from the clipboard in more cases.

• Also improved the example file GetClipboardAsText.fmp12 to better handle cases where there is no text on the clipboard.

• IMPORTANT The minimum supported FileMaker version is now FileMaker Pro 19. Also the minimum supported macOS version is macOS 12 (Monterey). For Windows the minimum supported version is Windows 10 (May 2020 Update (20H1) and later).

• Updated the source code and project to a new version.

Version 7.0 needs a new registration. The upgrade is free for users who bought a license for Troi Text Plug-in on or after June 3, 2025. Eligible users have been sent a new registration code. Contact us if you have not received yours.
