FileMaker 2026 builds a full schema from plain SQL: tables, fields, relationships, indexes. No plugins. Hand an AI agent one .fmscript example and it builds Northwind in seconds

The Execute SQL script step has been able to do this for years, through a loopback ODBC DSN that points the file at itself. FileMaker 2026 makes it better:

FOREIGN KEY now creates the relationship in the graph (2025 can't)

User Name and Password are calculations, so credentials can come from variables

DROP TABLE works, but Claris doesn't document it anywhere

NUMERIC(2,2) truncates, it doesn't round

I wrote it up with 12 working examples, full CRUD, plus a security section. fmxdbc is a second door into your file, and DDL doesn't need Full Access.
