printing labels for quantity vs. records

I have just switched my fm db from serialized records to one record with multiple quantities of an item. Example: First record has serial# 233 for widget B25 with a quantity of 100- I need to print say 30 labels(avery) because these are new inventory but right now when I run the script to go to the label layout in the inventory db, it will only print one label as it sees only one record. If I duplicate it enough times to make the labels then my inventory is messed up because it now sees 30 record with serial # 233 with a quantity of 100. How do I get these labels to print correctly? I have thought about adding another db and making the duplicates there then printing then purging those records but I would like to find a cleaner way. Help!! Any ideas or scripts would be really appreciated as I am a mere beginner.
