Printing wrong page?

Featured Replies

Hello Forum,

I don't have any idea as to how I went wrong. I've never had a printing problem until I tried to adjust some of my field definitions last night. In browse mode, I have 351 records. Records should be the same as pages, so I thought. At least until now, it has worked out that way. To print, I type in pages 351 to 351 usually. Instead when I do this, I am now actually printing record 172 or some other record.

I checked in preview mode. There is a question mark near where it supposed to have the total pages. If I use the scroll tab right above the question mark to the last page. The page tab says 702 which is exactly double the number of records in browse mode. Obviously there is some kind of conflict. I don't have 702 records. Those pages are blank. What do I do??? I can't seem to delete the extra pages in preview mode and browse mode only has 351. I think this is why I can't seem to print the records that I intend to print in browse mode.

Maybe it's something else? I don't know, but I could scream my head off in frustration!

Thank you

In the process of shuffling your fields around, you have accidently made the body just a bit bigger than one page long. Or, your printer margins have increased which has the same effect. Go into layout mode and slide the body part up until it is above the page break line. That should fix the problem.

One record does not have to correspond to one page. It all depends on the size of the layout you are printing from.
