How do you set a default value for a field

I just started with FileMaker so this may be a dumb question, but I can't seem to track down the answer in all of the documentation I have. There is a field in our database that is currently populated by a default value when a new record is created. This value is a related field in another database. How does one set/change/update/edit this?

In the field definitions dialog, select the field and then click the Options button. You will get a dialog that gives you a number of Auto-Enter choices.
