Hi,

Is there a way to use the scroll bar in a field that has the "allow entry in field" option turned off?

Not as such - not without forcing entry to the field via a script - which then defeats the purpose of having entry turned off in the first place.

However there is an alternative approach. If you create an unstored calculating text field which references the original field, and place that on your layout, you will be able to turn "allow entry.." on (with no risks, since calculation fields can't be modified) and users will be able to enter and scroll - but not change the field.
