Hi All,

This may seem trivial but...

i have a calculation field where the calculation is Status (current Date)

now to me this should enter the current date in to the field, which it did when i created the field (yesterday) but when i look today it still has yesterdays date showing.

i know i can easily sort this by inserting current date via a script but i need it as a calculation as it then doesn't rely on runnig a script.

i'm using FM Pro 6.

can some one shed somelight please.

This problem can be solved by going into storage options for the calculation field (you'll find the tab near the lower left of the calculation dialog) and selecting the option for "Do not store calculation results--calculate only when needed".

This will ensure that the date updates automatically whenever the screen refreshes.
