RICKY Posted November 15, 2002 Posted November 15, 2002 how can we do in filemaker for the capitalise(caps lock) either taking in consid
CobaltSky Posted November 15, 2002 Posted November 15, 2002 The passwords dialogs which FileMaker presents upon opening a file (ie the ones which are part of its inbuilt access security) are not case sensitive - so it makes no difference whether the caps lock is up or down. If you want case sensitive passwords, you'd need to consider implementing a custom login system (with the relevant password field/s set for the Ascii indexing option).
RICKY Posted November 15, 2002 Author Posted November 15, 2002 do you know how do that thanks for the reply
CobaltSky Posted November 15, 2002 Posted November 15, 2002 Yes. You can set the indexing system for a text field by going into the Options dialog for the field (from within the "Define Fields..." dialog), selecting the 'Storage' tab and choosing an indexing method from the drop-down list near the bottom of the dialog/window.
