Newbies rshboston Posted December 14, 2002 Newbies Posted December 14, 2002 I'm interested in creating a function within a solution I'm creating. When the user clicks on a button, it will open an MS Word document (the file will actually be a "stationery file", so the user will not alter the original template.). I'm pretty sure I know how to do this with AppleScript. However, I'd like my solution to work on a PC as well and don't know to approach this in the Windows environment. Will I need to use a VB Script? On both platforms, I'd also like to specify where the Word document gets created by using a field value. Any info or thoughts on this? Will this require a plug-in? Thanks in advance. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
BobWeaver Posted December 14, 2002 Posted December 14, 2002 You could try the 'Send Message' Filemaker script step, or check out Winbatch at: http://www.windowware.com/
