OS X files, page setup prob

I am stuck in system 9.2.2: too many different users on my FMPserver-based medical practice require specific printed layouts that are called in scripts. OS X always seems to default back to the "any printer" page setup and default to a short portrait layout with too much white space. I have tried working with new drivers, (HP printers) but can't seem to get my database to function in OSX. I called FMP and Apple tech support, but they can't help. Any ideas?

I've had the same problem with my FM report writing solution. It was created in FMP 5 and most of the people using it are running either FMP 5 or 5.5 in OS 9.2

The only solution I have found is to open the file, do a print set up and go through all the scripts that have a print step and replace the page set up. Of course this would change the page set ups for everyone else.

The option I'm working on is to modify the printing scripts, writitng separate ones for each OS, to detect the current user and use a print script with the proper page set up.

When you use a a page setup and print in a script FM remembers what you used last (including # of pages and whether to print all records or those currently being browsed). The print setups from 9.2 don't carry over into OSX since you are not using Print Manager anymore but print center.

Thanks, I have tried that with mixed success. It still defaults to the "any printer" setting rather than the specific printer. Have you tried your solution?
