including field names in layout printing

does anyone know if there's a way to print layouts that include the field definitions, the way you see the layout in layout mode? when choosing print "blank records showing fields" it doesn't show what the field names are in a layout. it only shows the layout without any data in its fields.

i need for filemaker to be able to do this, so that i can analyze this database i've inherited!

some please help me ease my frustration! this should be a very basic feature.

You could try taking a screen shot while in layout mode and then printing that. You can also use the design function FieldNames("MyDbase","MyLayout) to get a list of the fields that are on the layout, and then print that. The documentor that I posted here will do that and a few other things too:
